New Posters for "Skyfall" and "Prometheus," Plus "Skyfall" Trailer NewsSubmit Comment
MGM has unveiled the poster for the upcoming "Skyfall" James Bond movie, promising to have a trailer online on Monday (May 21st). In addition, we also have a new "Prometheus" poster that can be considered somewhat spoiler-ish. Check out both posters below.

Skyfall: Bond's (Daniel Craig) loyalty to M (Judi Dench) is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost. Set to hit theaters on November 9th.

Prometheus: The film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life's ultimate mystery. Set to hit theaters on June 8th.

Whatever happened to that now lost art of painterly poster design?

Iím psyched for both films, however...

The poster for Prometheus is out of context and plainly generic. Itís really just a hybrid still of the trailerís highlights. We donít need to see all that sh*t on the poster. Save it for the actual movie, when it will make visual sense. Keep the poster simple but clever, like the original Alien.

And with Skyfall, why is Bond INSIDE the barrel? What, does he get micronized my MI6 as a new secret mini-agent who kills villains by entering their ear canal? It just looks silly.

Skyfall teaser trailer

It begins
with an interrogation scene
possibly a psych evaluation
someone is doing a word association game
with 007
At first it is narration
over a couple of establishing shots
of London

starting with "Country"
to which Bond responds "England."
"Gun" is next,
with the response being "Shot,"
followed by "agent"
and "provocateur," and "murder"
to which Bond replies "employment."

By then,
we're into the interrogation room
and there are three people
behind the glass looking on

Judi Dench's M
and Ralph Fiennes' Mallory
being the most prominent,
though we're not sure
who the third person was

either that third person
or the interrogator
may have been Albert Finney

When the interrogator says "Skyfall,"
Bond doesn't respond
so he says "Skyfall" again
and Bond says "Done"
and gets up to leave

From there,
we got a lot of quick shots
of a lot of different images,
many of Bond running or falling,
either into water
or from some height.

We see him on a barge
in front of the Macao casino
with the giant dragons
in the background,

and he's running through cars in London, presumably part of his
chase after javier bardem
there is also a brief shot
of the subway car crash
that ends that chase.

There was absolutely no sign
of Javier Bardem
anywhere in the teaser

and probably only one shot each
of Naomie Harris (moneypenny)
and Berenice Marlohe

It ends with Bond saying
"Some men are coming to kill us.
We've got to kill them first."

That's not helping, Kurkij.
