Sony Pictures has unveiled a new featurette for "The Amazing Spider-Man," featuring an interview with Rhys Ifans speaking about playing Dr Curt Connors and new footage of The Lizard. Check it out below.
Plot: Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) finds a clue that might help him understand why his parents disappeared when he was young. His path puts him on a collision course with Dr. Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner.
"The Amazing Spider-Man" is directed by Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) and is scheduled to hit conventional and 3D theaters on July 3rd.
I remember back in the day Spider-Man movies were the first comic book flicks to be 'Avengers' type cultural events breaking records and all that. That kind of spectacle will be nearly impossible to recapture again with this new sh*t.
Rhys Ifans is a great actor and banged Sienna Miller.
Lots of respect for this guy.
Still I don't like how this movie looks. Maybe they'll improve she effects in time for release, but latest trailers look underwhelming. If it turns out this movie is budgeted at $200 mil. + as rumored - it sucks for the effects department.

I still have my doubts for this one.
Rhys Ifans might be the only reason for me to watch it anyways. Even though Lizard's appearence/design is f*cked up.
I will probably end up watching in 3D in cinemas anyway..
The trailer for it in front of Avengers looks promising , but we have all been fooled by a well cut trailer . I'd say if this flops it will because the suits start sticking there noses don't belong, with re-edits .
