Sony Pictures has unveiled a new poster for "The Amazing Spider-Man," starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field. Check out the poster below and see the new trailer in front of "The Avengers."

Plot: Peter Parker (Garfield) finds a clue that might help him understand why his parents disappeared when he was young. His path puts him on a collision course with Dr. Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner.

"The Amazing Spider-Man" is directed by Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) and is scheduled to hit conventional and 3D theaters on July 3rd.

Meh...I still don't see why he couldn't have a bellt like strip atound his waist?

At least a "V" like at the bottom of his red stripe on the front to hint at a belt.

Well... it'll be more like a red arrow pointing down to his cotch with the tagline "Shooting his web on July the 3rd..".

Now that's a SPIDERMAN you haven't seen before!!

yeah, it's a bit awkward without it. it makes his body look longer, and his d*ck look shorter. and i like my spidermans well endowed, thank you very much.

He looks like some kind of extremely elongated red and blue alien.

Why is he levitating in the middle of the sky anyway? Meh..

Seriously needs a belt or something... It's a really gay suit...

Haven't got too much of a problem with the suit and the lack of belt, I've got more of a problem with the film in general. Even though the more recent adverts look more promising I'm not looking forward to sitting through another sh*tty origin story.

I have no clue why you 'guys' are looking at Spiderman's d*ck...

Anyway, wonder how this is going to work out with Marvel. The Amazing Spiderman comes out between Avengers 1 and 2, right? So what, no Spiderman in the second Avengers? Yeah, I know, Spidey is a local thing to Manhattan, and I know, Spiderman isn't exactly an Avenger, but still, it would be odd then to have some force like Thanos attacking earth and not have Spidey, and the X-Men, to lend a hand. Just seems...odd. Would be cool of they could chuck out a great Fantastic Fur between now and Avengers 2, and have like this huge ensemble cast for the second Avengers, but yeah, I know, Avengers is a Avengers, everyone else need not apply, which is kind of f*cking stupid imo.

Because a belt on a superhero is the height of heterosexuality, because dudes in skin tight clothing need a strip of rawhide to hold up their pantaloons, right?
