Adam Sandler to Remake "Summer School" Comedy

Adam Sandler to Remake "Summer School" ComedySubmit Comment
Adam Sandler just set the record at the Razzie Awards by winning in all ten categories. And now comes word that he's in negotiations to producer Paramount Pictures' upcoming remake of 1987 "Summer School" comedy.

The movie was directed by Carl Reiner (The Jerk, Oh God!) and starred Mark Harmon as a gym teacher forced to cancel his summer plans and teach an English class filled with oddballs and rebels. The film also featured a young Courtney Thorne-Smith.

Paramount has been trying to remake the film since 2005 and at one point had "The Smurfs" producer involved. Then two years ago, "Star Trek" writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci offered their version of the remake. The goal now is to start from scratch and focus more on the comedic side of the story.

Another remake is done but with Adam Sandler this time. I find this news more funny than the film will ever be.

If I were Mark Harmon's character, I would have nailed Courtney Thorne-Smith and f*ck the consequences. Maybe the remake can include this more realistic version.

The only time I thought Mark Harmon was worth a damn was when he played Ted Bundy.

The only thing i remember about mark harmon besides this movie? Confusing him and mark hammil when i was a kid. Not faces. But like when you would see credits roll for a tv show or movie. Oh boy! Luke skywalkers in this!!! Oh.....

@diddler Completely agree. Thats quite moniker you have, amazingly pedophilic connotations to it. I applaud your brazenness

Only good part about the original was the two gore-hound students.

Unless it's actually a frame for frame remake of Billy Madison, I don't care.
