Michael Shannon is a Ruthless Killer in "The Iceman" PosterSubmit Comment
Today we have a new poster for "The Iceman," which is based on the true story of Richard "The Ice Man" Kuklinski and stars Michael Shannon, Winona Ryder, Chris Evans, David Schwimmer, and Ray Liotta. Check it out below.

The story revolves around Richard Kuklinski (Shannon), a notorious mob contract killer and loving family man. He earned his nick-name by freezing the bodies of his victims, disguising the time of death and throwing police off-track. He was a man who used his tendencies toward violence and detachment from consequence to create an idyllic family life. His family and neighbors believed he was an average businessman, having no idea about his deadly alternate life. Kuklinski killed over one hundred people during his life. He never felt remorse for anything he had done, except hurting his family.

The new movie is written and directed by Ariel Vromen. A release date has yet to be set.

@Bando: You're laughing at the fact Evans is in here, but you failed to notice David Schwimmer? That Brill Cream hair and a voice made for scaring geese, yeah, he trumps Evans in the sh*t List actor department any day.

This is the movie I've been waiting for. I'm really curious how they are going to present this movie about this sick, twisted individual.

There was a HBO special on this guy where he described of some of the ways he killed people. They actually diagnosed him with some rare psychiatric diagnosis of having no remorse or had no real sense of right and wrong in taking lives. He actually described in one how he wanted to try and see if a crossbow would be used to kill someone so he took to the park at night a killed a jogger that was passing by...just to see if the crossbow worked!! Also, no one could identify it was him because he was so good in hiding his tracks storing victims in freezers for months at a time and then leaving them frozen solid in the middle of July, hence the ICE MAN. He also killed people in different ways never using the same M.O. as a mob hitman.

Weirdly enough, he was a good father, but always had issues with the wife. Never wanted her to ask him what he did when he would go out to kill. The only time they found what he was doing was only when he was arrested.

Sick, but at the same time compelling material. Knowing H-Wood, they'll probably skimp out on the gruesome details, but can't wait to see Shannon (great casting choice)getting under his skin to tell the tale.

Too bad he didn't come home from a sanction one day to find his innocent family shot to sh*t.

Irony f*cker... irony!

@Ranger: is that what really happened? Because I saw the short doc*mentary about him and they didn't mention that or is it me? If yes, it's one hell of an irony indeed.

Good story, but horrible casting.

According to Rabid, this guy didn't kill a single soul.

@Bullit --- I don't know. It was only wishful thinking on my part. I'll have to look that up.
