"Terra Nova" May Continue on Netflix

"Terra Nova" May Continue on NetflixSubmit Comment
We just reported that Fox cancelled Steven Spielberg's time-travel TV series "Terra Nova" after only one season. Producers of the show have been hoping that another network would step in to continue the show.

THR has now learned that 20th Century Fox Television are in early talks with Netflix to develop a second season, which would be available to subscribers of Netflix's streaming service.

Netflix has been working hard to develop its own original scripted programming and recently agreed to resurrect "Arrested Development," which is also a series owned by 20th Century Fox Television. But since "Terra Nova" carries a massive budget, it's not clear whether Netflix would be able to pick up the tab or if the show would have to cut back on all the CGI.

The cgi in 1994 Jurassic park was better than 2011 Terra Nova. It was laughable at best. No way Netflix could produce this show the way it should be. Hell Fox couldn't. Hey Steven, why are all your shows cancelled after one or two seasons? Earth 2 anyone?

f*ck Terra Nova, this article has something much more important to say.

"Netflix has been working hard to develop its own original scripted programming and recently agreed to resurrect "Arrested Development," which is also a series owned by 20th Century Fox Television."

BOO YA!! I'm still quite pessimistic about this considering half the cast are now starring in a sh*t tonne of movies. But if they do bring it back, with the original cast and the same writers..... yes.... YES! What happened to the movie though?

Cin - they broke this news a while back but I guess you missed it. You can probably still find the articles here. Netflix will be airing (I think) 10 new episodes in 2013. Each one will focus on one of the Bluths to catch up on where they are now in life. They're all gonna lead in to the movie, which I think is going into production in the middle of 2013.

Jeez, guess I should read the articles too. Definitely a little fuzzy on the details, sorry. The important thing is, we will be getting new Arrested Development in the not-too-distant future.

Terra nova on netflix? Hell no. I'd rather watch van zandt's lilyhammer and it's a pretty damn good show.

eViL.kEv2- Oh yeah I did know that actually, I guess I was seeing this as a completely different thing. To be fair I dont care what channel it comes out on as long as It keeps the majority of the same cast, the same writers and can buy it on DVD. One of the best comedies of all time.

I had high hopes for Terra nova but after 2 episodes I found myself less interested in jerking off. Coincidence you say? I don't think so!

If it's too expensive to produce for national TV then it's way to be much less cost effective to produce for Netflix. What a stupid idea

Hey Spielberg... why not throw in a talking dolphin in to save this bitch?

Terrible Nova needs to die. Netflix, please just start your own time traveling show and make it hard Sci-Fi instead of this kiddie drama sh*t fest.

I'll throw one into Shelley Conn, Allison Miller or both if that would help the show Steven

Some things deserve to die. I mean, do you think someone should have paid to keep Jeffrey Dahmer on life support after that black guy crushed his head with a mop handle in a prison shower room?

Nooooop, but they want to keep Terra Nova on life support when it was one of the most agonizingly boring 'science fiction' shows to have ever appeared on television.

And a bad premise under the delusion they could lure watchers to the show with the promise of dinos, dinos that hardly ever appeared, and when they did they looked like something from that 'Dinosaurs' tv show, which was a HELL of a lot better than Terra Nova.

What's next? Star Trek without a space ship or station? Sliders without parallel worlds? Bah. You can do better Steven. You can, I promise. Just TRY!

Tag line should be: New Earth, New Network, Same Old sh*t!

rabid writes:

started off retarded, but they actually had a really interesting plot at the end with some really bizarre cliffhangers. I'd be wiilling to watch more... but is the talented cast willing to work for a non-network entity?
