IFC Films has unveiled the trailer for the upcoming horror film "The Moth Diaries," starring Lily Cole, Sarah Bolger, Sarah Gadon and Scott Speedman. It is directed by Mary Harron (American Psycho) and is set to get a limited theatrical release on April 20th. Check out the trailer below.

Plot: Tells the story of Rebecca (Bolger), a young girl who is haunted by her father's suicide. She enrolls in an elite boarding school for girls and, before long, Rebecca's friendship with the popular Lucy (Gadon) is shattered by the arrival of a dark and mysterious new student named Ernessa (Cole). Lucy falls under Ernessa's spell and becomes emotionally and physically consumed by her glamorous new friend.

Rebecca, whose overtures of concern are rejected by Lucy, finds herself lost and confused. She begins to develop a crush on her handsome English teacher, Mr. Davies (Speedman) and immerses herself in the Gothic vampire novel Carilla for his class. Rebecca starts to suspect that Ernessa is a vampire, but, despite the suspicious deaths that begin to occur, her fears are treated as simple girlish jealousy. As the bodies of young girls pile up and the line between reality and the supernatural starts to blur, Rebecca decides to take matters into her own hands and get rid of Ernessa.

Another variation from Twatlight to end up with a girly vampire story. Oh f*ck off already!

Dang shame, I like "American Psycho" one of my favourite films...but this looks like a steaming pile of Brontasarous sh*te.

So is there a vampire in this or not? Looks just like some schoolgirl "experimental" phase to me. Saw it college plenty of times. Put several hot chicks in a dorm room together and just add wine, weed, and some Alanis Morisette. A little muffdiving and awkward jealousy is soon to follow.

Lesbian Vampires...nice. But still ain't gonna watch it.

What does one lesbian vampire say to another lesbian vampire? See ya same time next month.

Sounds like Twilight for lesbians

This is the future of movies, folks. Vampire soap operas for teenager girls and gay boys, and you can thank that evil c*nt Stephanie Meyer, whom I pray burns for all eternity in the hottest of hell's pits, for this abominable trend.

f*ck this sh*t. Vampires should be how they are in 30 days of night or Interview With A Vampire.

I never really understood what's the whole charm about vampires...they are so f*cking boring...aside from Blade 1 all the other vampire movies are dumb and gay.

Rambo- Blade 2 rocked as well, aside from those 2 movies I agree.
Rambo writes:

blade 2 was good but there was something about the first one that made it more special for me.

Rambo-Again I so agree, love the 1st more than the 2nd. Just saying it pt 2 was worthy enough to put in there as well.

Even lesbian vampire pics have been done before...maybe they're coming back. Remember Hammer's THE VAMPIRE LOVERS & VAMPYRES? Niiiiiice...

Even FF Coppola tips the hat to Hammer films in Bram Stoker's DRACULA when W Ryders character is outside with Mina in the garden & it starts to rain where thete's a quick shot of them kissing or when Ryder goes out looks for Mina late at night coming out in a see-through nighty? Gratuitous, yes, but that's all homage to Hammer...

Fine by me, if that's the case, whatever erases TWILIGHT crap out of our memories.
Mr.Movie writes:

I saw that movie at a film fest some weeks ago...
That was absolutely boring and as sh*tty as Twillight.
I slept well, at least.

The first Blade was more into the character.

Second Blade was action and more action.DONNIE YENs cameo and HELLBOY.

no one saw Daybreakers but me then.Good movie with Ethan Hawke,Willem Dafoe,Sam Neill
SACdaddy writes:

^^ I'm really a big fan of Daybreakers too. Every now and then someone does get a vampire movie right. Let the Right One In and the new Fright Night were pretty good too.

"The first Blade was more into the character.

Second Blade was action and more action"

That's very true, but then it's also true Blade was an origin story, whereas Blade 2 was not, and origin stories are almost always focused on the character, and the sequels are almost always action oriented fare, and that makes sense because you have to build the car before you can race it...

I havemt even noticed any vampires in this trailer. Just a girl who seems like one BUT gives me the impression that she isnt one and believes she is.

IDK I think this is going to be a movie about vampires with no Vampires in it.

Im being drawn closely into watching this out of curiosity. Seems interesting.
