Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone Confirmed for "The Tomb"Submit Comment
We recently heard that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone may re-team for the action thriller "The Tomb." And now comes word directly from Summit Entertainment that the rumor is absolutely true and that both actors have already been signed. The new movie will be directed by Mikael Hafstrom (1408, Derailed).

The story follows Ray Breslin (Stallone) who is the world's foremost authority on structural security. He's analyzed every high security prison and has gained a vast array of survival skills. But all Ray's ingenuity and knowledge are about to be put to work in the most challenging test he's ever faced: escaping from the master prison of his own design.

Schwarzenegger, in the role of Church, plays a complex inmate with multiple shades of grey. He's the guy who fights to keep the prisoners from losing their humanity in their darkest hour as they struggle together to stay alive.

The new movie will be shot in Louisiana this spring.

This seems about 10 to 20 years over due

Fitting title for them as they're both graveyard bound, especially Arnold Shatterhips.

So are about a million library copies of the Kama Sutra, and I bet you no one wants those back.

Derailed was good, 1408, not so much, but far better than The Box, which was patterned after the method 1408's writers used to turn a short story into a lumbering mess of a two-hour behemoth.

Arnie as a prison inmate, now that's new.

Come on, the guy's a thousand years old at least! And if you carbon date his bones, he doesn't even exist! He couldn't beat up a welfare grannie, much less hardened criminals with nothing to do but sh*t, shank, sleep and exercise all day.

'in their darkest hour as they struggle together'

So a prison rape scene after lights out then?

I don't know. It seems lika Ahnuld's character demand some "acting".

It's interesting how Håfström have ended in the b-schlock territory. He has been Oscar-nominated and 1408 was a success. But each turn after that he has degraded very much. Good riddance, he was overrated anyhow. 'Evil' sucked.
