James Wan in Talks to Direct "Insidious" Sequel

James Wan in Talks to Direct "Insidious" SequelSubmit Comment
"Insidious" was the most profitable film of 2011, grossing almost $100 million worldwide on a budget slightly over $1 million. It's not surprising that a sequel would be considered, and now comes word that the original creative team of director James Wan (Saw) and writer Leigh Whannell are in talks to return for the new film.

The first movie starred Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne as a couple who at first think their house is haunted but come to the realization that it's actually their son who is possessed.

It is unclear whether the sequel will continue the story or whether the lead actors will return. The sequel is scheduled to go into production this year for a 2013 release.

I'm so down for this, The original was one of my favorite horror movies of 2011, very well done.

I really liked 'Insidious', until the final 15 minutes happened. God, those sucked.

@Freud I agree wholeheartedly, kind of a let down. Though I would be curious to see if they revisit the family and we find out what the f*ck is going on with the father

Make something new and fresh, Wan. You seem to have a proclivity for good and fresh.
