Man Arrested for Attacking Police with LightsabersPosted: February 1st, 2012 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Portland police said that 33-year-old David Allen Canterbury went to a local Toys R Us store, grabbed toy "Star Wars" lightsabers in each hand and started to hit customers with them. He then carried the lightsabers outside the store and swung at police. Officers tried to use a Taser to subdue him, but Canterbury successfully deflected one of the wires away.
Police eventually wrestled him to the ground before taking him into custody. Canterbury pleaded no contest to fourth-degree assault and resisting arrest. The judge sentenced Canterbury to 45 days in jail, two years of probation and a mental-health evaluation that could call for treatment.
Canterbury told the judge that he is already seeking mental-health treatment. He also apologized to his victims.
Canterbury has been banned from Toys R Us. The judge did not give him additional time for violating the terms of his probation for a previous heroin-possession conviction.

The ass-kicking is strong in this one.
Canterbury to Judge: 'I don't need a mental health evaluation.'
Judge: 'You don't need a mental health evaluation.
Canterbury: 'Move along.'
Judge: 'Move along.'

Canterbury "this trial is wrong"
Judge "what?"
Canterbury "this trisl is wrong"
Judge "why you waving your hand like that?"
"You think you some kind of Jedi?" "I am a man of the law, your mind tricks don't work on me"

“To be clear, he didn’t break the wires as a real light saber might do, but he did knock the wires off of his body,” Portland police Sgt. Pete Simpson told KGW.

A real light saber, Officer Pork? And I wonder why police are so stupid.
