Today we have an action-packed clip from the upcoming "Safe House" thriller, starring Denzel Washington, Ryan Reynolds, Brendan Gleeson, Robert Patrick, Vera Farmiga, and Sam Shephard. Check it out below.

Plot: Washington plays the most dangerous renegade from the CIA, who comes back onto the grid after a decade on the run. When the South African safe house he's remanded to is attacked by mercenaries, a rookie operative (Reynolds) escapes with him. is there anyone more dependable than Denzel Washington in Hollywood at the minute.

Denzel still going hard at 57.
This movie is gonna be sick! Cool to see Reynolds in a role like this too.

This movie looks interesting.although a little cliche with a agent gone rogue plot. But who knows. Maybe Ryan Reynolds can show us he can act.

Denzel is the Black Neeson with his SWAGG.

Denzel is The Man ! Just like Liam Neeson. R. Reynold is too gentle to play it rough. I'll still watch it because Denzel is in it.

We'll see if Reynolds is still box office poison.

Would a Washington / Neeson work or would their coolness actually cancel each other out?
My guess is that it would ramp up the badass factor exponentially to levels that can't be viewed by our normal eyes. We'd just be starring at a blank screen unable to process what was actually captured on film.

I just want the Deadpool movie.

If someone in Hollywood isn't already working on getting Denzel and Liam together in a film I've lost all faith. They're perfect for each other now, Denzel is the calm before the storm and Liam is the runaway freight train. Its the perfect Buddy/renegade cop film setup. I can see it now: they're both a few weeks from retirement but they have to solve one more case and kick a little more ass on their way out. Oh yeah, both of they're daughter have been kidnapped...and molested :)

What Bunny asked (beat me to it... again).

"their daughters"

The Grey and now Safe House, the only movies I've been expecting before summer...yeah, it would be cool to put Neeson and Washington hunting each other on a film.
Bunny X writes:

Washington and Neeson tracking the same international criminal. Both trying to capture him for personal reasons as well as for their respective countries. Neeson would be the Interpol agent assisting with veteran FBI agent Washington and they would realize that in order to get him, they would have to be "creative" and go off the books.
Only problem with that is you would need someone just as awesome to play a villain bad enough that it would require Washington and Neeson to team together.

that'll be a good idea.Neeson and Denzel with special appearances from Robert Carlyle,Carl Weathers.

this looks pretty great.

and yes, Denzel Washington is pretty damn solid all around.. i'm working on his next movie ("Flight") and he turns in a great performance in it too...

What Bunny said on both threads.

Yeah, that Denzel always brings his A game to his big shows, but sometimes I wish the guy would diversify his roles a bit. He's always plays the take-no-sh*t, badass attitude characters-even when he plays the bad guy like on Training Day or a slave in Glory. Other badasses that took a risk with their acting include Schwarzenegger, he changed it up by playing Kindergarten Cop, Joe Pesci played Leo Getz in Lethal Weapon or With Honors, Russel Crowe on Beautiful Mind, sh*t, even Sam Jackson took it down a notch on Black Snake Moan. I mean yeah, some movies bombed, but clearly some were pushing their craft. Wish Denzel wouldn't play it safe all the time...
