"The Strangers" Director to Helm "Mockingbird" Found-Footage Thriller

"The Strangers" Director to Helm "Mockingbird" Found-Footage ThrillerSubmit Comment
Director Bryan Bertino scored a hit with "The Strangers" back in 2009 since the film grossed $82 million on a $9 million budget. Bertino immediately wrote a sequel, but "The Strangers 2" never moved forward.

STYD has now learned that the director has signed on for a found-footage thriller, called "Mockingbird." It is being produced by Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity) and filming is expected to begin at the end of February.

"Mockingbird" revolves around a couple who receive a video camera with a document of strict instructions. If they don't follow the rules, they're told someone will die. The film will follow their hellish ordeal as they do what they are told.

Found footage is just the flavor of the week, freaking hollywood. It's no wonder that movie studios are losing so much money when they just keep pumping out crap like this.

Trash. Sounds like The Box, The Ring and a sh*tload of other sh*tty films.

During 'The Terminator', Arnold Schwarzeneggar, as the titular character, met a man inside a dank motel hallway.

He had just cut some flech away from his damaged eye, I believe, and was reeking of decomposition.

The man he met said something like, "hey buddy, what do you have in there", referring to Arnold's room, "a dead cat?".

Arnold responded wonderfully with a terse line he learned from Bill Paxton, saying "f*ck you, *sshole", thus providing more proof that soulless robots from the future, intent on eradicating mankind, are more educable than most Americans.

Anywho, that's what I want to say to the guy making this 100% Proof garbage: f*ck you, *sshole.

MINK i like the terminators other choice responses but he chooses that one.
I imagine thats how these hacks choose the premise for their movies 1. Original Idea
2. Found Footage
3. Body Swapping
4. Remake

Nah, they just write their choices on used coke packets and let the hookers choose.
