Peter Berg Confirms "Hancock" Sequel

Peter Berg Confirms "Hancock" SequelSubmit Comment
Will Smith's "Hancock" was released in 2008 and went on to gross $624 million on a $150 million budget. The film was clearly a success, but has a lousy 40% fresh rating on RottenTomatoes.

Now, director Peter Berg has confirmed that a sequel is in the works. "We've been talking about the sequel between us, Will Smith, [producers] Michael Mann and Akiva Goldman and myself," he said. "We're all interested, but we literally just have trouble getting into the same room at the same time. We did have a series of meetings last year and started to hash out an idea for sequel and Will Smith actually had the idea so I think it will happen, it's just a question of timing."

Looking at past interviews, both Smith and Jason Bateman have stated that they would be more than happy to return. Stay tuned.

I remember a time when sequels weren't such a desperate commodity.

Okay...as long as Will's idea doesn't involve weaseling his son into the film somehow. Still think the Karate Kid was just a rich daddy helping his spoiled son.

The first started nicely, but ended up turning into some gay romantic comedy and love and crap. Anyway, if they really going with the sequel, they better have some Charlize theron's nudity scene.

Will was the idea to put your waste's of life, otherwise known as your kids in this movie? Still mind boggled on how you can marry, f*ck and procreate with Jada??? I think she slipped you some roofies.

Did anyone ask for this? I thought Hanc*ck was awful. It was so bad, it gave me nightmares.

Ha, Alex wrote "c*ck" in a headline. Where's your filter now?

Hanc*ck is a classic example of "good idea, bad execution."

What a coincidence! The WHO and the NHI both report that tuberculosis is making a 'sequel' in India!

http://www.dawn.com/2012/01/19/india-faces-%E2%80%98totally-drug-resistant%E2%80%99-tb-cases.html

Two objects of morbid dread are making a spectacular and totally unwanted return.

What are the odds?

That sounds awesome. Hope Will Smith does also does a Bad Boys 3, Independence Day 2&3, and I Robot 2. He already filmed Men in Black 3 so sequels will be his thing

I guess I will take a SOPA to the knee before seeing this for free. So I'll just never see it. See how it works, f*cking corrupted politic*nts ?
