Gene Hackman Hit by Car, Airlifted to HospitalSubmit Comment
Gene Hackman, the actor best known for his roles in "Superman: The Movie," "The French Connection," and countless others, was hit by a car while bicycling in Florida on Friday. He was airlifted to a local hospital.

TMZ learned that the 81-year-old actor suffered serious injuries to his head and body after being struck by a 60-year-old woman in a 2007 Toyota Tundra. Hackman was not wearing a helmet. The driver sustained no injuries.

Since then, Hackman was released from the hospital and is reportedly doing "fine" and came out with just bumps and bruises.

Whoa, talk about friday the 13th curse or Superman's curse. Anyway, I hope he makes a full recovery, it would be sad to lose him.

And how did he come out with just bumps and bruises if he had supposedly "suffered serious injuries to his head and body"??

whoa he's a tough man always has been.

@piper

Yeah that sh*t makes no sense. It can't be both.

This just proves old people shouldn't be driving..or bicycling around streets.

Moral of the story- Don't let women over the age of 55 drive.
SACdaddy writes:

81!!! I had no idea he was that old.
SACdaddy writes:

Why can't this sh*t happen to Channing Tatum?
Slimer42 writes:

Well no dah the driver didn't sustain injuries. They were in a car. The only way the driver would be hurt is if Gene Hackman and/or the bike flew into the windshield and decapitated the driver like in a Final Destination movie

@BadChad: Lol !

@Cacdaddy: man, if only it could be true ! But then again, we should to the list: the f*cking Kardashians, Paris c*nt Hilton, Lindsey Lovag, Petyfer, Maggy Thatcher etc., etc.

There. Fixed.

"Why can't this sh*t happen to Channing Tatum?"

Why the f*ck would you want him to survive with just bumps and bruises?

Dip that *sshole in hydrochloric acid and run him through a woodchipper for good measure.

Anyway, now Gene Hackman and Stephen King can hang out together. It's like the Mile High Club for old pedestrians.

81 year old, I didn't that he was that old but at least ke's okay, I hope he makes a full recovery.

That woman who is 60 year old is a idoit, it would had been worse if she was 90 years old.

She must have picked the lock on her chain to the cooker and I guess the hubby didn't call the police to say his car was stolen.
