"Green Arrow" TV Series in the Works

"Green Arrow" TV Series in the WorksSubmit Comment
The CW is planning to turn another DC Comics property into a television series, similar to "Smallville." The new show will be based on "Green Arrow" and the network is very close to ordering the pilot episode.

Green Arrow is a hooded archer who creates trick arrows with special functions. His secret identity is a billionaire - Oliver Queen, the former mayor of the fictional Star City. The comic book debuted in 1941 and was loosely inspired by the film "The Green Archer," which was based on a novel by Edgar Wallace.

The character was first introduced to CW viewers on "Smallville" in 2006, played by Justin Hartley (pictured), who appeared in more than 70 episodes of the long-running series. Hartley is not involved in the new project, however.

Meh..I don't give a f*ck. It'll most likely follow the same fate with NBC's Wonder Woman.

so this is DC's version of Hawkeye?

Well Bandolero, No. I know this might be shocking but Marvel "borrowed" from DC quite a bit.

Maybe this will be just as successful as the Aquaman pilot...

Why the hell not just stick with Justin Hartley -_-

No sh*t. Marvel did to DC what Image did to Marvel. And the article specifically mentions that Green Arrow dates to 1941, well before Marvel even existed, so yeah.

As for the show, I doubt it'll work. They couldn't keep Smallville grounded, and that's Superman, so I jus don;t see how they keep a show, one base don some guy in green tights, running for more than season, or two max. I'd like to think they can, but I just don't see the appeal for this character unless they make it about some hot chicks or something.

In first season i bet Flash will appear

In second season Aquaman will appear

In third season Wonder Woman will take performed

In four season there Clark Kent and Lois Lane

And there we got, only four season at best

'Seasons' telur? You mean 'episodes' right?

Smallville lasted for 10 seasons. That's pretty damn good. And Queen was a fan favorite.
If they stuck with Hartley (Nina's son?) they would already have a strong following.
