Did Warner Bros Fix "The Dark Knight Rises" Audio Behind Christopher Nolan's Back?

Did Warner Bros Fix "The Dark Knight Rises" Audio Behind Christopher NolanSubmit Comment
Earlier today, we reported that Warner Bros adjusted the soundtrack for the six-minute "The Dark Knight Rises" opening to make Bane's dialogue easier to understand. But the studio just fired back, claiming that there's "no truth" that any audio has been altered.

This is a bizarre claim, considering that there are countless movie-goers who say that they have seen the opening with the new soundtrack and Bane's dialogue is definitely clearer. So what exactly is going on?

Some have suggested that the studio made the necessary adjustments, despite that it may be against the wishes of Christopher Nolan. The helmer previously said that he will not re-work the audio even though audiences have been complaining that Bane is difficult to understand. Is it possible that Warners went behind his back and made the changes anyway?

Behind his back? Nolan is but a tool to the studio, and because WB owns the rights to TDKR, whatever they do, right or wrong, is their beusiness, ultimately, and not Nolan's.

What we need is a QUALITATIVE comparison between the original and the supposed re-engineered audio, before we can opinionate or speculate on who did what and when.

Who gives a f*ck. He still sounds like a whore with a mouth full of baby makers.

Either their ears have some glitch or Bane voice got better. Anyway, that's what called as Sound editing. Duh!

Christopher Nolan is a gold for Warner Bros. He made Man of Steel too. Studio won't dare do something without Nolan permision

If people are having trouble hearing what bane says then why can't they just throw subtitles in for when he talks.
Ranger writes:

Or just shut their c*cksucker during the movie.

Why don't they survey the people that say Bane sounds clearer to know if they knew the audio may be improved.

Those drones have been slipped a placebo, and they're buying it.

Who really cares? It had to be fixed. It sounded like sh*t before.

That's not true Mink. Nolan has the director's cut (he claimed and got it after Warner made him do this film after producing/distributing Inception).

So, not even the studio can make any changes to the cut without Nolan's consent

this is all a sophisticated subliminal advertising and brainwashing to go watch this movie when it comes out.

I'm also thinking placebo. If people think adjustments has been made, they will believe the sound to be different.

Possible, since this days studios like to screw up with vision and writing of the people who knows how to do their sh*t.....

Hollywood Studio c*ntS!

"So, not even the studio can make any changes to the cut without Nolan's consent"

WB can do whatever the f*ck they want to do, just like every other studio has done, and if they have to drag out the lawyers to make it happen, it WILL happen.

They roll right over actor's and directors alike whenever they feel like it.

And getting Nolan's consent? Right, like Nolan has as much power as the studio, no matter how much WB like's his Batman involvement.

IMO, WB is NOT going to let Nolan f*ck anything up, just because he has 'director's cut', or whatever.

Again, we will wait and see.

And I wasn't aware Nolan has final cut privilege on TDKR, and I'm not sure how that applies to editing the audio. FCP efers to editing, or cutting the film, not much else.

Anyone with any knowledge on this matter care to weigh in?

(thanks to biniwoo for the info)

I hardly could understand some of what he was saying.
but i also have noise induced hearing loss.
So ill just have subtitles on when watching bluray problem solved.
Don't f*cking change it though! he sounds great.
