Daniel Craig Offered Five More James Bond Films?Submit Comment
According to The People, Daniel Craig has been offered a multi-million dollar deal to star in five more "James Bond" installments. If the deal is signed, the actor would become the longest-running Bond of all time, with a total of eight films. That's one more than Roger Moore, who appeared in seven installments during his 12 years as Bond.

"Daniel's been a terrific Bond, a superb actor and a terrific man. The fans love him and I don't think there's a better actor to play the part," said producer Michael G. Wilson. "I'd love Daniel to surpass Roger's record and do eight pictures."

Craig is reportedly getting $12 million to star in "Skyfall," his third Bond picture. If the actor decides to ever give the role, there are others who are more than eager to take his place, including Michael Fassbender.

He's 43 years old. Would they be doing one every two years or something? I don't like the looks of this. They're trying to milk the franchise. It must be in its last days.

Yeah kind of weird to give a guy a deal for five more movies based on a series that is improvised on the go.

They started something interesting with Casino Royale. It was a bit half baked with a rushed second half romance and ending but still somewhat decent in spite of it. A nice rejuvenation of sorts. But they f*cked it all up after that so just let this sh*t die already.

I like Craig as Bond but after Skyfall let him go.

nothing wrong with this at all

as long as the scripts are good i dont see any problem apart from the fact he could get too old...but he looks like he can keep fit thru it all

id rather have one guy play him for a decent period of time rather than movies like batman etc where actors are swapped for others and ya dont get a feel for the character as much

think craig has been the best since connery thus far...and as long as the storytellers keep it strong then who knows

I like Craig as Bond (he's my #2 to Connery). But this is hype crap. No need to lock him in this long. Bond is his best gig. He's not going anywhere.

He should do one more film after skyfall and then retire.Having the same actor as bond becomes repetitive and dull.

Although Craig is good...

Fassbender would be terrific

Craig, after Skyfall, just retire on top, not like Moore, who in a View to Kill, he almost look like a Grandpa..... And bring Fassbender as the new Bond, Cīmon!!!!!

fassbender did no good job in x-men...(what was a terrible movie...maybe that was the reason, why his acting gave nothing to me)

How about this: no more Bond, period? It's a worn out film family, with nothing really to offer anyway.

I'm sick of Fassbender. No to him in the Bond movies. That's just not a role he should take.

It'll never happen. Even if they're aggressive with the films, at best, they're looking at a new Bond film every other year. The same pattern with Moore at about every 2 years. With Skyfall slated for 2012, that's running the 5th out to a 2022 release.
Getting realistic and adding in the usual delays of scripts, locations, budgets, and Craig filming other movies and you can bump that 2 year plan to 3. That will set the 5th movie at a release of 2027.
Although that would nicely age Bond in parallel with Craig, it's just not gonna happen in this day and age. It worked with Moore because even though Moore filmed other movies, you didn't have the lengthy schedules they do now so you could film a movie every year.
Just do Skyfall, and 2 more and I'm ready to move on.
