"The Dark Knight Rises" Poster Shows End of BatmanSubmit Comment
Warner Bros has unveiled a brand new poster for "The Dark Knight Rises," hinting that Bane (Tom Hardy) will put an end to Batman (Christian Bale). Check it out below.

The new film is getting ready to unveil a bunch of new footage. The first six minutes of "The Dark Knight Rises" will be shown during IMAX showings of "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" on December 21st. And in front of "Sherlock Holmes 2: A Game of Shadows," Warner Bros will unveil the trailer for "Rises."

Christopher Nolan returned to direct the third and possibly last installment in his Batman franchise, which is set to hit theaters on July 20th, 2012.

Let us not be over dramatic. I doubt a major plot detail would be revealed in a poster. It's called "The Dark Knight Rises" for a reason.

Amazing and epic poster.

It tells the main story which is great.

For me, this might be the best poster of the year so far, no knows.

@ NotAmerican: I know, this is an adaption and not a 1:1 comic to film thing...but if you know the comics...you are aware of what bane does...

Guess Bruce and Alfred still haven't gotten that graphite problem fixed from Batman Begins! In the timeline, it's been around 11 years since then. Fix your sh*t or Bane's not gonna just break your back, he's gonna rip your freakin' spine out Mortal Kombat style.

this looks 100% mind blowing

tom hardy is gonna be f****** scary

great.I'm tired of happy endings.let batman die.

@ the wire, I know that Bane breaks Batmans back in the comics.

I also know that the Knightfall story arc would introduce too many new characters to Nolans Batman which makes no sense at this stage and would leave Bruce Wayne weak, which is hardly a fitting send off (especially if the "Batman 4 rumours are to be believed).

I think this poster was designed to tease fans and get them thinking and not to indicate Batmans wheelchair plans or maybe I'm just wrong and Nolan breaks him anyway.

Either way the poster is working.

@ NotAmerican: agreed.

Looks fan made, especially the Bane portion. Expected something more creative but I'll hold out for the trailer.

@NotAmerican agreed completely. If they go the route of Batman being seriously hurt by Bane, it will happen in the beginning. They arent going to make this film titled Dark Knight Rises only to have a somber ending where its just the opposite.

Whats the point of enjoying a movie if we already know the ending.pathetic

Well it would explain everything wouldn't it? Gordon says in the first trailer "The Batman has to come back" could mean Batman gets injured at the beginning and it takes seven years for him to heal before he goes back into action.

THE LEGEND ENDS...

(until the next movie)

Very cool poster. The imagery is epic and chilling.I have a feeling that Tom Hardy's Bane is going to be quite the formidable, menacing opponent here. I'm so intrigued to see how everything plays out.

Despite all the Nolan-haters's pessimism and the ridiculous fan nitpicking/bitching about Catwoman/Hathaway and Bane/Hardy, I think this will a fantastic film, and a hell of an ending to the trilogy. Every film Nolan has made has been great, IMO, so I have no doubts that this will be as well.
Ranger writes:

Bane seems angry. Maybe he just needs a hug.
BadChadB33 writes:

Plastic Dildo and Quitto will give him a double butt hug.
the wire writes:

I hope this film will be great, because I think the first two were...but this doesn't make Nolan untouchable...I mean...Inception was ok...a 5/10 maybe...but not more.

This looks amazing, and considering what Bane is known for in the comics, a poster like this is perfect for his character. I seriously can't wait to see this movie!

This confirms Nolanīs Point of No Return different case than Bay. Always promising he is not coming back, only to Paramount offering more money and make another sh*tty Transformers, that at this point nobody cares!!!!!

This Bane seems to be pulled or manipulated from this shot here: http://s3.amazonaws.com/coolproduction/ckeditor_assets/pictures/4310/original/bane1.png?1321910313

I wonder it WB just rushed it out or if it's fan made.
