Ben Whishaw is Q in New James Bond Film "Skyfall"Submit Comment
We recently heard that Ben Whishaw (Perfume) has been cast in the upcoming James Bond movie "Skyfall." And now comes word that he'll be playing the role of MI6 gadget expert Q.

Whishaw will play the youngest Q in the history of the Bond franchise. So young, that he's actually younger than James Bond (Daniel Craig). Other actors who played the role are Peter Burton, Desmond Llewelyn, and John Cleese.

Sam Mendes (American Beauty) is set to direct the 23rd Bond installment, which co-stars Judi Dench and Javier Bardem. It is scheduled to hit theaters on November 9th, 2012.

Oh, How do I miss Desmond Llewellyn and John Cleese as Q. So, This guy going to be some kind of super-kid genius? - they'd better get it right because Desmond Llewelyn's portrayal is a tall-order to top.

Definitely makes Q more believable now. It seems like this movie is on the right track. Now if they could only fit star ham into the role.

I can just see the opening scene now.

Will be just like "Blackadder 3" when Prince George meets Pit the Younger as the new Prime Minister.

Hes Q? Whats his gadgets going to be like? I know! -clears throat- now 007 here is your new shoes, as you can see here...stomp your foot twice and the nozzles pops out for you to drink the beer out of....and here...its your new phone....its programed to find the closest store selling beer no matter where in the world you are! And here's your new aston martin....with extra trunk space....to store your beer in.... um.....Mr bond? Can you buy me and my friends some beer? Terrible idea

They had to get a younger, better looking dude to hit the scenes because Daniel Craig's Bond is too damned old and ugly to attract any women but Betty White.
