Robert Hall, the director of "Laid to Rest" and "Chromeskull: Laid to Rest 2," has acquired the remake rights to the '80 horror film "Chopping Mall." He and his producing partner Kevin Bocarde will write and produce.
The original "Chopping Mall" was produced by Roger Corman and his wife Julie. It was centered around a group of teenagers who become trapped in a shopping mall with killer robots.
"It will retain the basic concept of young people trapped in a mall; however, the story will have a darker, supernatural spin," said Bocarde. Hall added: "This is an exciting way to pay homage and honor Roger while also expanding the original film's premise."
They already went to the bottom when they remade Fright Night with Colin Failure

You gotta read between the lines people. He was obviously albeit sneakily telling us this movies starring lindsay lohan. And the supernatural element is that when the kids get trapped its lohans vag that takes over and goes on a rampage leaving victims in its wake. Its a spin on the idle hands movie mixed with the original. Also, it gets bigger and hungrier after....each....kill.....mwah haha!
