Jeremy Renner Reveals His Character's Name in "The Bourne Legacy"

Jeremy Renner Reveals His CharacterSubmit Comment
After Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass turned down the chance to return for a fourth Jason Bourne film, Universal Pictures immediately got to work on "The Bourne Legacy" that has Jeremy Renner playing a character similar to Bourne. In other words, this is a Jason Bourne movie without Jason Bourne.

Now in an interview with Empire magazine, Renner has revealed a few details about the story and the character that he'll be playing. "My character is called Aaron Cross, but he ends up having a bunch of different names," he explained. "For fans of the franchise, ['The Bourne Legacy'] has that same ticking clock, but it's a new program and new characters."

When asked if Treadstone is still involved, Renner replied: "Yeah, it's that same deal, it's just a new set of agents with a different leash. It's the same tempo and pace but more expansive and bigger. The differences are pretty vast but you'll know it's a Bourne movie."

"The Bourne Legacy" is directed by Tony Gilroy (Michael Clayton) and is set to hit theaters August 3rd, 2012.

"Yeah, it's that same deal,..."

But with different agents.
More expansive and bigger.
The differences are pretty vast.

Then HOW IS THAT THE 'SAME DEAL' YOU STUNNED sh*t?!

You'll know it's a Bourne movie when the headache kicks in after about 7 minutes

I must say, this Treadstone company may be the worst run facilty in movie history. Two agents both suffers memory loss and comes after their former employera, and can't handle either of them. Where's the f*cking foresight? Its inaptitude is only matched by that of Umbrella Corp.

Yah but umbrella corp was super flashy and radical.

mmmmm, After this if Matt Damon doesn┤t want still to come..... Do we have another Bourne movie call it The Bourne Path┐?
Ranger writes:

... itic?
boogiel writes:

They should make this as a standalone movie without any 'Bourne' word in it.
Ranger writes:

This is still on-topic because it's about jammed-up sh*t.

A caretaker of mine just called. The 'laundry drain is backing up.' - Clearly she's asking me to c*m over there for anal - and here I was going to sit in the sauna.

Choices.... choices...

I dont remember Matt Damon turning down the role

Bourne 1 was so different from Bourne 2 and 3. In the first one, Matt Damon was generally upbeat and had a personality, despite having amnesia. In the second and third, he became very morose and basically turned into a robot. It was disappointing, because I expected the character to develop gradually after finding out about his past. Instead, he basically became a left-wing superhero. That was disappointing. I much prefer the original movie and ignore the sequels.

Who would have thought Charlie Chaplin would say it best hey.

well,as long as Michael J.Fox stay away from the camera this could turn out to be good.
Ranger writes:

If they remake 'Earthquake' Michael J. Fox is the obvious choice for cameraman, otherwise no.
vincere01 writes:

The only way this will be good and bareable to sit through, is if at the end Matt Damon storms in and drop kicks his face off. And when asked why he replies "MATT!.....DAMON!...."
