Howard Stern in Talks for "America's Got Talent"

Posted: November 11th, 2011 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Howard Stern in Talks for "AmericaSubmit Comment
Howard Stern was at one point rumored to be in talks for "American Idol." Things didn't work out and now comes word that NBC is in serious negotiations to join the panel of judges on the network's reality competition show "America's Got Talent."

Under the deal, Stern would earn about $15 million a year (three times more than anyone else on the show) to sit next to Howie Mandel and Sharon Osbourne at the judge's table. He would be replacing Piers Morgan, who is leaving the show after six years to focus on his CNN program "Piers Morgan Tonight."

NBC wants Stern so bad that it is considering moving the show to New York, where Stern hosts his Sirius XM Radio program. The move could cost the network an additional $10 million.

He can judge talent?

But then again...can't be worse than the two they have now.

As long as they allow him to get down and dirty, no holds barred, he'll be more iconic than Simon Cowell. Unfortunately, that's not gonna happen.

Don't you have to have talent first.

They could always try to get Lazlow.

Of course he can judge talent. Anyone can judge a dumb talent show. It's not like judging the Westminster dog show where I have no clue at all why one dog is better than the next.

Good Move! Ratings will jump three times what they are now when his audience tunes in....Give the guy some crdit here. Sirius had 200k subscribers in 2005, Howie signs on and now they have 20 million. The numbers dont lie.

@city - agreed. If anyone doubts... Google how much Stern is paid. It's nuts... but they certainly value him.
