Brian Grazer to Replace Brett Ratner as Oscars ProducerSubmit Comment
Now that Brett Ratner has resigned from producing the 84th Academy Awards and his "Tower Heist" star Eddie Murphy has stepped down from hosting the show, comes word that "Tower Heist" producer Brian Grazer has stepped in to replace Ratner.

"It's very gratifying to be part of a show that honors excellence in the medium to which I have devoted so much of my career," said Grazer, who won a Best Picture Oscar in 2001 for "A Beautiful Mind" and earned three other nominations for "Splash," "Apollo 13" and "Frost/Nixon."

"Brian Grazer is a renowned filmmaker who over the past 25 years has produced a diverse and extraordinary body of work," said Academy President Tom Sherak. "He will certainly bring his tremendous talent, creativity and relationships to the Oscars."

Grazer will now begin his search for a new host.

Wow. I don't know about you, but that picture looks like Brett just fisted up Brian's ass.

Brian Grazer ... what Robert Evans would've looked like if he snorted half of Bolivia, drove his Mazaratti down Mulholland and took his face and planted it firmly on the asphalt, while driving 120 ... much like an older, uglier version of the late Ryan Dunn.

Brian Grazer = Brett Ratner's personal finger puppet. Or pillow pirate.

So, they are determined to only have people who worked on Tower Heist to run the Oscars? Next we'll hear will be that Ben Stiller is set to host.

Get the kardashians to host and all their ex boyfriends can present with the lohan/spears and hilton girls. Hollywood has become a joke anyway

sh*t, man ...might as well let ME produce the f*cking Oscars. Iíll host it, too -- couldnít do any worse than Franco. Hmm, letís see, if I were hosting the Academy Awards, what exactly would I do? Iíd probably rig the place with C-4 and detonate it on live television, with millions watching.

Headline: Cannon blows up Hollywood.

Then Iíd have this mad after-party and you all would be invited. But no gay stuff.

Well, now that an Academy Award Winner is producing the show and Billy Crystal is now on board as host, this duo is a sh*t load better then Ratner-Murphy.

I hated Apollo 13 and A Beautiful Mind. Both of those movies are kinda over rated. Frost/Nixon was cool doh and Splash is the sh*t!
