"The Wolfman" Reboot Gets a Plot Synopsis and Release DateSubmit Comment
Universal Pictures has announced that principal photography has started on a new werewolf movie, which is a reboot of Benicio Del Toro's "The Wolfman." Filming is currently taking place in Bucharest, Romania and we now have an official plot synopsis for the movie, which is set to hit stores on DVD and Blu-ray next Halloween.

Plot: During his studies with the local doctor (Stephen Rea), Daniel (Guy Wilson) witnesses the horrific consequences of werewolf attacks. Watching as the beast's fearsome reputation draws bounty hunters, thrill seekers and charlatans to the tiny town, Daniel dreams of destroying the ruthless predator. So when a mysterious stranger (Ed Quinn) and his team of skilled werewolf hunters (Stephen Bauer, Adam Croasdell) arrive to pursue the monster, he offers to join them, despite his mother's (Nia Peeples) protests.

But it soon becomes clear that this creature is stronger, smarter and more dangerous than anything they have faced before. As casualties mount and villagers see their neighbors transformed into ravening monsters, the townsfolk take up arms against each other to find the true identity of the werewolf. Amid the hysteria, Daniel begins to suspect he's closer to his target than he ever dreamed.

@MarshallErikson: Yeah, what pornfly said. "An American Werewolf in London" is one of the best horror films ever -- right up there with "The Thing," "Jaws" and "The Shining." It was incredibly gory, but it was also original and funny, not to mention it didn't have any of that horsesh*t CG like the newest "The Wolfman" did. It was just good, old-fashioned special effects and the makeup was incredible. I think Rick Baker won the Oscar for it.

The story seems fine but it is a straight to dvd sequel which might mean it is a sh*t movie.

Eh, why do I even bother. Direct to video/dvd are normally sh*t.

The fact that they cast Nia Peeples says it all for me.

@trailertrash: Yeah, "Dog Soldiers" was a good one. Very underrated.
