"South Park" Creators Targeted by Scientologists

"South Park" Creators Targeted by ScientologistsSubmit Comment
"South Park" is known for poking fun at just about anything, including religion. And while everyone simply accepts it, the Church of Scientology decided to launch an investigation into Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the creators of the show, after the airing of "Trapped in the Closet" episode.

Through the help of informants, public records and various other means, the church searched for "vulnerabilities" in the pair's personal lives. "Phone records. Bank records. Personal letters that expose some kind of vulnerability," said Marty Rathbun, who is a former Church of Scientology executive. "They'll read stuff into the kind of alcohol you're drinking and how much. Prescriptions. They'll figure out your diet. They can find out a lot about you through your trash."

All this was an attempt to silence Stone and Parker, which went unsuccessful. But when Tom Cruise, who was featured in the episode, announced that he will not participate in the promotion of "Mission: Impossible III" unless the episode was pulled, Viacom, which owns both Comedy Central and Paramount, decided to do just that.

Stone and Parker quickly responded by saying: "So, Scientology, you may have won THIS battle, but the million-year war for earth has just begun! Temporarily anozinizing our episode will NOT stop us from keeping Thetans forever trapped in your pitiful man-bodies. Curses and drat! You have obstructed us for now, but your feeble bid to save humanity will fail! Hail Xenu!!!" Signing their letter: "Trey Parker and Matt Stone, servants of the dark lord Xenu."

Rathbun teased that more documents about the investigation would be released, but was soon arrested, allegedly at the request of the Church of Scientology. Charges were later dropped, but the church continues to harass him.

I personally can't wait for the couch jumping midget to be done promoting his stupid MI:3 film so South Park can skewer him properly (the little in the closet jerk would probably like the sound of that)

Wait... Is this happening just now? That episode is from like 6 years ago!

Okay, well both parker and stone have received terrorist threats before, so I'm sure they wouldn't be phased by this.

Obviously, Scientology is not having the best of reputations ! Well, I couldn't expect any less from such a despicable sect !

I have infinite respect for any agnostic, non-believer person or even a f*cking communist then a scientologist ! f*ck them !

Sooner or later, South Park will get their moments !

PS: Having said this, I'll watch again Dane Cook taking the piss out of T. Cruise !

Does the church of scientology count as an " organized " religion ?
Ranger writes:

Yeah, nothing gives a religion more creditability than admitting they're stalking people that poke fun at them.

Hey Church of Scientology, stalk me... while I rape your mothers and send you the video in a box of doughnuts with warm, creamy centers!

the image is a fake, i´ve never saw a painting of jesus but kinda like the idea of imagining christ doing that after his resurrection, the image is what is sweet.

I haven't seen South Park in a very long time so I KNOW that that episode is kinda old.. like FIVE whole year old.. They just watched that episode in some rerun? and NOW you're gonna do something about it?
Ranger writes:

Lol awesome answer by Parker and Stone. And they should expect some more in your face stuff from southpark sooner than later, scientoloc*nts.
DetroitFanRick writes:
on October 26th, 2011 at 9:53:15 PM

Have they not learned from others' mistakes? If you go after Parker and Stone, they only blast you bigger and harder...oh wait...I get it...Cruise must want more cornhole action. I always knew he was a freak.
Matiax writes:

This is so old that is the reason why Isaac Hayes left the show. Then they did the episode where Chef dies, because of "that fruity little club". And that was before Hayes himself passed away.
