Michael Bay on Directing "Transformers 4"

Michael Bay on Directing "Transformers 4"Submit Comment
For the last few days we've been hearing from Hasbro CEO how the company along with Paramount Pictures is in talks with Steven Spielberg and director Michael Bay to develop a fourth and fifth "Transformers" films.

Now, on his own forum, Bay commented on the story. "I am currently not talking to Paramount on 'T4' and 'T5' despite reports," he said. "I'm looking at a lot of possibilities coming my way right now weighing options. Most likely going to be doing the low budget 'Pain and Gain,' a true story crime thriller. It's a very quick shoot and quite funny. Also just finishing the 3 disc set of the 'Transformer' trilogy."

Just recently Jason Statham denied rumors that he is in talks to replace Shia LaBeouf in the franchise, despite reports coming from Paramount that he's being strongly considered.

Thank God he's not returning. That franchise really need to end.

So the reboot is in 2015?

Pain and Gain sounds hectic!

Then do a Bad Boys 3.

Uwe Boll or Lars Van Tier will take bay's job

i think we all wamt a bad boys 3, if bay does not return for any more sequels i'd like to see jj abrams or steven spielberg have a crack at it and them to get Jerry Bruckheimer
involed in some way

Great news.

The ending of Transformers 3 was awful, it happened so fast and anyone knew who survived.

Maybe the best choices to direct Transformers 4 would be John Hyams, Ridley Scott or Steven Spielberg.

The worst choice, Uwe Boll all the way.

This franchise will never end they are making way too much money.
Michael is suffering from burn out. After making 2 or 3 other different projects he'll be back rejuvenated.
I cant think of any other direct who has the temperment to do this kind of film.
BTW as much as you may hate the franchise remember, each movie made more than the last. It aint goin nowhere.

Michael Bay ... the Michael Bolton of directing.

Take that definition annnnyway you want.

@Max --- lol. No sh*t.

He'll be back. If not, he either asks for too much (over his usual $60mil a flick... is he THAT stupid... don't answer), or they know the franchise will make money no matter who directs and they can pocket most of that $60mil. Or... Bay dies. But 'hope' and 'will' are two different things.

(just finished watching 3, my eyes hate me for it) but they killed off all the bad guys (spoiler alert...but who really cares at this point) ....so who are they going to fight next? the go-bots?

I'm getting a kick that Bay is calling his 3 movies 'A Trilogy.' A trilogy by definition is a 3-part story... from start to finish. Like Lord of the Rings. The Matrix. etc. There were no 'loose ends' tied up after T3.
