Forest Whitaker, Luis Guzman, Johnny Knoxville and Harry Dean Stanton have joined the cast of "The Last Stand," which marks Arnold Schwarzenegger's return to acting. Jaimie Alexander is the female lead.

"The Last Stand" is directed by South Korean filmmaker Kim Ji-woon (I Saw the Devil) and revolves around a small-town sheriff (Schwarzenegger) who must make a stand when a drug cartel leader tries to make a run for the Mexican border.

Production started on Monday. Peter Stormare, Rodrigo Santoro, Eduardo Noriega and Zach Gilford co-star in the film.

Looks like there'll be lots of dead Mexicans and is up to Ahnuld to clean the border corruption.

They better have some new one liners to add to his soundboard

What purpose will Knoxville have to pull a Ryan Dunn

This sounds like the biggest B-List cast I've ever heard of.

Didn't mind Knoxville in Walking Tall.

Also long as this turns out better than anything Schwarzenegger has made since True Lies it will be a good start.

Why the f*ck is he trying to be the last stand in the way of drug cartel leaving US? Shouldn't he be the last stand against drug cartel Coming INTO US? Heck, I don't mind them leaving the country as long as the won't return for good.

Just hope the leader isn't "The Last of the Meheecans" then he will definetly get through.

Have you guys seen "I saw the Devil"? That korean movie was insane. Pure Dark revenge. I just hope that Kim Ji-woon can create a decent movie with these 2nd hand cast members.

I think Kim Jong-Ill would have been a better choice as director, I hear his films are great.

A better reference is the movie the good the bad and the weird movie is a fun ride beginning to end.

The cast seems pretty weak though needs a strong supporting villian

How the f*ck did Ji-Woon get involved in this? He has only made excellent movies so far and now he will be making a Hollywood B-grade action movie? Either he has gone completely insane or there's something more to this than we can see.

The cast seems great and the story is okay.

Let's hope The Last Stand turns out to be awesome and also a good comeback for Arine.

Also Arine did The Expendables 2 with a 4 day filming so this means he might uses a machine gun and fight some bad guys.

It is also rumoured that he help Stallone fight with Van Damme.

Arine and Stallone vs. Van Damme, the fight of the decade.

Sure... they distract VanDouche with a line of coke while one of the other guys hits him over the head with a 2x4. Fight over.

I'd be really surprised if Arnie makes a come-back. I hope he does, but part of me feels he's been out of the game, he's lost his momentum, that dog has had his day. Still, at least Arnie is only nailing fugly house-keepers while Clooney is doing movies about molesting his daughters.

Thx. for the flicks Arnie... they were great.
