Video: Agent Coulson Kicks Ass in MarvelSubmit Comment
Marvel just unveiled the full short, called "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor's Hammer," featuring SHIELD Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) stopping to get gas and a snack while responding to a report that a mysterious object (Thor's hammer) was found.

While deciding between two similar treats, the convenience store at the gas station gets robbed, causing Coulson to step in. The result is some swift ass-kicking. Check out the video below.

This short and many other bonus features will appear on the "Captain America: The First Avengers" DVD and Blu-ray, which hit stores on October 25th.

Indeed.

After RDJ's Tony Stark, Agent Coulson is easily the best part of The Avengers.

@freud

Agree. I think he IS the main star of The Avengers.

@Freudian

Completely agree. Agent Coulson is best thing from Marvel movies, and he even doesn't exists in comics.

That was pretty f*ckin' cool. I do like it when theatres put out little shorts/Teasers about the characters that don't get the attention they deserve in the actual major release.
DaveThePhotoGuy writes:

That was good, great fun.

Guess he will take Nick Furys' job soon.
Ranger writes:

Doubt it. I don't think SHIELD wants to battle a discrimination charge... lol.

Ranger writes:

Oh my...

1. A government employee NEVER says: 'Keep the change' (they can't afford to). Unless... he's forgoing his rent that month in an attempt to impress Ms. Hawtie behind the counter, to hopefully get HAWT with her behind her counter (IF you know what I mean?).

2. f*cker didn't pay for the gas!!!!

3. Excellent scene!

4. Lohan is so washed-up.

5. I wonder what Thomas Jane's favorite sandwich is.

Ranger writes:
on October 16th, 2011 at 12:15:08 PM

OK... let's assume he paid with $100. Then the bag of flour (or sugar) would have been paid for as well.

TEAM COULSON!!!
BadChadB33 writes:

Not too bad at all. He is pretty awesome, rather see a stand alone Coulson movie than a CA 2.

Ranger- Jane likes a Corn Holed beef with extra saukerc*m sauce and a side of cole slaw.
Ranger writes:

Cole Slaw or Cold Slop?

And I think we all knew they had something special in the works for Coulson since the first Iron Man movie. Good to see him get some decent play in this.
technoreaper writes:

That's a great and stupid way to get people killed! Most of the time, these guys just want to get the money and get out. So who are you protecting? The gas station's bottom line? I always hate scenes in movies like this, they get people who try to be heroes killed.

Not every man really lives.

The needs of the many...

Oh f*ck. You know where I'm going with this!

@techno - if every criminal KNEW for SURE they could get away with every crime... I'd go out and do that sh*t myself. It's things like this very scene that may deter some from doing it. God knows I wouldn't want a bag of flour thrown in my face.

technoreaper writes:

I just think it's an idiotic scene and there was no justification for Coulson's actions. It seems like some nerd's hero fantasy.
Rambo writes:

the ending implies that he is either gay or married.cause the chick was waiting for his d*ck and he just left.

Great short film.

The fight scene was cool and the whole video was amazing.

Finally Agent Coulson kicks some ass, he's a great character and Clark Clegg did a good job.

Best Short Film Ever.

I love it when movies do action scenes where sum Liquor store or 7Eleven is getting robbed and sum hero just so happens to be there. Those movies always win.
JakeVermont writes:

The funniest Coulson joke is from Thor where he says: "And thank you Son of Coul." I dont know why but that was hilarious.

Coulson rocks!
