"The Human Centipede 2" No Longer Banned in UK

"The Human Centipede 2" No Longer Banned in UKSubmit Comment
Director Tom Six has been proud of the fact that the UK banned "The Human Centipede" sequel. But now that the film is set to hit US theaters this weekend, the British Board of Film Classification decided to take another look at the movie.

Six and the organization have been working together to figure out how the film can get a UK release, and after making 32 cuts, an agreement has finally been reached. 32 cuts may sound like a lot, but it's actually only 2 minutes and 37 seconds of the movie.

Distributor Eureka recently said that it was really pleased with the new version, stating: "Naturally we have a slight disappointment that we have had to make cuts, but we feel that the storyline has not been compromised and the level of horror has been sustained."

Tom Six... way to sell out. Now where's your "clever" marketing ploy?... Not that I really care, just saying.

The internet has pretty much made national ratings systems irrelevant. These people better start looking for new jobs. When you can see all these movies online, especially as new releases, that will be the end.

Like this movie or not, I'm not a fan of banning art forms (debate is you'd like the the effect that this movie is or isn't), or censorship. WHO decides? Put it out there... if people don't want to see it, they don't have to. I don't like these governing bodies 'looking out for my interests.'

This banning was up there with book burning and that f*cked up Baptist splinter faction protesting private families mourning at their child's military funeral (saying the war was wrong).

And now this 'art piece' has been told to edit it's work. Yeah... that's not censorship at all... ugh!

OK... I'm offended by breasts. So someone go to the Louvre, his the Renaissance dept, and paint over every single tit on every picture. I'm sure that censorship would go over.

Who is to say Renaissance tits are OK, but an ass-to-mouth centipede movie isn't?

New something like this would happen.

Said before that banning something is no good.

Also the BBFC should have banned it for being a crap movie with no social, political or artistic value.

I'm against banning, but couldn't someone ban Tom Six from ever direct again?
