Tyrese Believes Michael Bay and Shia LaBeouf Will Return for "Transformers 4"

Tyrese Believes Michael Bay and Shia LaBeouf Will Return for "Transformers 4"Submit Comment
While working on "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," both Shia LaBeouf and director Michael Bay constantly spoke about quitting the franchise. But Tyrese believes that the two just need some time off and will definitely return for more installments.

"I think, with the success of 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon,' both Michael Bay and Shia probably want a break from the franchise, but there's no way, that at some point, they're not going to come back to do 'Transfomers 4,'" said the actor. "Maybe they need a few years to get a few other creative things out of their system, which is understandable, but for people to love this franchise around the world like they do, it's damn-near crazy to not give the fans what they love and enjoy again. So maybe two years, maybe three years will go by, but I believe, and hope, that we are able to do another 'Transformers.'"

After the success of the first installment, Bay said that he will keep directing "Transformers" films as long as fans want to see more. Considering that the third movie grossed $1.19 billion, it seems that fans are definitely loving the franchise.

It may be absolutely true that Bay just wants a break. He wanted to make his small "Pain and Gain" film immediately after "Transformers 2," but the studio put him right back to work on the third film. Now Bay is in talks for "The Twilight Zone," so he's clearly looking for something different. And everybody knows that Paramount Pictures will not let a mega-franchise like "Transformers" simply die.

Question: Do you think Michael Bay and Shia LaBeouf will return for "Transformers 4" in a few years?

Two or three years, thatll give shia some time to get his ass beat down then raped in the skull till his jaw breaks off and we never have to hear from his dooshy face again

They need better writers, Transformers is a action franchise so Bay is the man for that... But Shia?? He was just put into the third movie cuz people know him. His character wasnt really important anymore like in the first and second movie where he got the visions and stuff.

In the third one he just had some comedy scenes... but totally replaceable. And he was annoying at some moments. Shis is definetly not the carryier of the franchise.

What people love about the movies is not the well directed parts. It's the work of ILM and crary movie magic making those robots walk, talk and fight each other.

ILM rocks!

Hollywood always believes that, to make a good movie (good=that attracts the most people and make the most money), you have to include everything: action, humour, human feelings and romance... That's why they put a character like Shia TheBeef for boring goofy scenes. But Transformers is about the robots. If they have a good story, without the "goofy human" parts and put more focus on the robots, I think that'd be better.

@Jake: agreed. Shia is totally replaceable.

It depends on the moolah. Plain and simple.

i'll love the movies if they make them more like the show, because i still have yet to be impressed...there's still way too much human involvement giving less character screen time for the actual characters of transformers...as a fan i expected better of the films

hahaha I still can't get over the fact that Tyrese thinks he's a legit actor.

Transformers was awesome.

Transformers 2 was just awful.

Transformers 3 was better than the second one but not great as the first one.

And Transformers 4? I mean if Shia LeBeouf returns, maybe Tom Hardy should be included in the cast where the two fight over Sam's girlfriend.

I think a fight between Shia and Hardy would sell out lots of cinemas.

It would like Stallone against Taylor Lauther.

People DO realize that leaving out humans is gonna make this, what, a 600 million dollar budget? We all want no humans, but it ain't happening.

I'm just glad Ehren Kruger seemingly had at least heard about the franchise before writing about it. Unlike Orci and Kurtzman.

Maybe, maybe not..... In my case I wouldnīt want them to be back. This franchise could be greatest and awesome. But they ruined with comedic stuff and in some way doesnīt work when the scale of danger is bigger and for that you canīt laugh..... I hope this franchise dies and maybe just maybe in the future it will be rebooted but not with Shia or Michael Bitch!!!!

I bloody well hope not.

Hell no! Transformers 3 had so many hole in it and missed opportunities. This franchise needs so new blood with new direction. The human parts of the TF3 are so boring. Would have been cool if the rocket in the movie was Omega Supreme and it helped kick the deceptions arse.
Ranger writes:

Bay made $60mil on the first sequel alone.

He'll be back, believe it folks.
Ranger writes:

And so will Shia. He'll get tired of flipping vehicles drunk and getting his ass kicked at bars over an autograph... he'd be back in a heartbeat (if they asked him).
