Arnold Schwarzenegger in Talks for "Captive" Action Thriller

Arnold Schwarzenegger in Talks for "Captive" Action ThrillerSubmit Comment
Arnold Schwarzenegger recently signed on to return for "The Expendables" sequel and is set to star in "Last Stand." But now comes word that the actor is also in talks for "Captive" action thriller.

Benjamin van der Veen (Che: Part Two) and Kario Salem (The Score) wrote the script from a story by Nicolai Fuglsig, and the plan is to begin shooting next year. Fuglsig was originally on board to direct, but stepped down. The film is currently in search of his replacement.

If the deal works out, Schwarzenegger will play an American real estate tycoon living in Brazil who is kidnapped and held for ransom. As he frantically searches for a way out of his armored-truck prison cell hidden in a Sao Paolo landfill, a detective specializing in kidnap and ransom cases works to find him.

Might be better than collateral damage since he has experience killing druglords in Colombia

Yeah Collateral Damage was crap band, Pretty much like most of what he was involved with in the mid 90's and onwards.

With next summer full of super hero films if Expendables 2 is any good it's gonna be bigger than the 1st ..

Can't F'in wait ....

Hmmm, it seems like this would require more acting than fighting for Arnie. Not entirely sure that's a good idea...

Trailer - Collateral Damage is like 9/11 disaster being remade. It was not bad, but not good either. Not to disrespect what happened today 9/11, but i don't think its a good idea to do this.

Great news.

Arine doing The Expendables 2 and Last Stand so the plot of Captive seems okay, this might show his acting skills.

I think the detective should be played by Stallone or Bruce Willis, if not then maybe a great actor.

A great actor like Paul Walker and Channing James Dean Tatum

Bandlero 999, nice joke.

But Paul Walker is a good actor but not a great one in my opinon.

Oh please, don't start with Channing Tatum.

The decetive doesn't need to be a heartrob but a great actor who has done some great performaces from amazing films.

Action movie star in the 90's, governor in the 2000's, and now back to action movies. What a successful career, Mr Arnie! can't wait to see him back on screen! He made movies like Terminator, Predator and Conan the Barbarian legendary!

@trailortrash - you're right mate: the 3 movies that I quoted were actually from the 80's! And another masterpiece with Arnold was Total Recall. What an incredible movie!
Stapes writes:

I don't know, this sound suspiciously more like a plot to just actually bury Arnold in an armored car inside a landfill than it does a plot for an actual movie.

Y'know... don't care he banged and knocked up the help.

What I can't wrap my head around is why didn't he have Maria in the 69er (she on top), then have the maid c*m into the room wearing a strap-on to double-end Maria?! That's how I would have played it.

Because once Maria is hooked f*cking the maid, Arnie would be able to fill'er up anytime he wanted.

Seems to me a lot similar like Proof of Life with Russell Crowe and David Morse, don´t you thinkż?
