Ryan Gosling on Breaking Up NYC Fight Posted: September 8th, 2011 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
We recently showed you a video of Ryan Gosling (The Notebook) stepping in to break up a fight in New York City that was started over a painting. Now in an interview with MTV, the actor explained what happened. " I think the guy really was stealing the other guy's paintings. I should have just kept my nose out of it," said Gosling. " I said to the guy, 'why are you doing this?' He said, 'he tries to steal my painting.' I said, 'how do you know?' And he said 'he comes here every day and looks at my paintings.' Which means that the guy was a fan. And so he wanted the painting so bad he had to steal it, because he couldn't afford it. So he finally steals the painting and he's getting his ass kicked by his hero. And then the guy from 'The Notebook' shows up and makes it weirder." Gosling then explained that he decided to get involved because he was feeling good after a workout. " I just came from the gymnasium and I was all stretched out and feeling warmed up," he said, adding: " I'm embarrassed." Watch the video of the fight below.

Ryan Gosling is the man. The painter should commemorate him in his next painting a send it to him. Then hopefully that will make WP news.
Also, couldn't be more pumped for Drive.

Ryan should had stay out of the fight.
What if the guy stealing the painting had a gun but still Ryan showed that he isn't only a great actor but also a good citizen.
Good on him.
P.S. those girls in the video, laughing and saying that's the guy from The Notebook are so stupid.

gymnasium? He thought we.... ohhhh... if he said 'Gym' people would take it as 'Jim' and know he's c*mming out of the closet finally.

Ryan: 'I just got out of Jim' --- see how that reads?

Half nelson was by far ryan goslings best acting performance, the guy was compelling in that role. i love films that are real, when a film is based on a superhero its bullsh*t, we need films that happen in everyday life

Total publicity stunt. I loved how a camera just happened to catch everything too.
