Christian Bale May Play Villain in "Oldboy" Remake

Christian Bale May Play Villain in "Oldboy" RemakeSubmit Comment
Christian Bale is currently working on "The Dark Knight Rises," and while there have been talks of him returning for "Justice League of America" and "The Fighter 2," he has yet to announce his plans for the future.

Variety has learned that when "The Dark Knight Rises" wraps in November, he'll need to make some decisions and there are already several projects that he's considering.

The first is a remake of "A Star is Born," starring Beyonce Knowles and directed by Clint Eastwood. He may also play the villain in the remake of the Korean thriller "Oldboy," to be directed by Spike Lee. And Darren Aronofsky is apparently interested in Bale to play the title role in his "Noah" biblical epic.

I really believe hollywood cannot do justice to the original old boy. With Spike racist lee directing it will be a disaster.

Hollywood already tried this in 1976 and it f*cking tanked.

Just hope this one does too.

They would have to completely change the story.

And not have Beyonce control it too much like Streisand did.

Guess Hollywood will never learn.

Maybe Mel Gibson can star in Spike Lee's film!

No, no and no! f*ck this remake, and f*ck Spike Lee and whoever joins this project: the original Oldboy is a masterpiece!

I think the smartest move Bale can make and he's usually pretty careful about what projects he picks and who he works with. The smartest move he can make is join Darren Afonofsky in his "Noah" project. It's the least sh*ttiest Director on that list not counting Clint Eastwood. Which I STILL have no idea to THIS day why Clint would EVER work with Beyonce!?

I know I would NEVER have her on my resume.... What the f*ck Clint!?

yeah f*ck spike lee, can't stand the bastard. f*ck the old boy remake as well. f*cking people need to learn how to read subtitles. Some amazing foreign films especially from South Korea don't need remakes, I loved THE HOST, they will probably remake that, most likely set in san francisco..

f*cktards

Christian Bale is one of the few good actors in Hollywood today. He has done many memorable films and is good at what he does. Most of the others in Hollywood are hacks.

Best Bale films I've seen: American Psycho, Empire of the Sun and The Prestige. I have heard great things about the Machinist.

Christian bale is one of the few actors in Hollywood that deserves respect.

Like: Dicaprio, Day-Lewis, Neeson.

Thats about it, tell me if I forgot a few.
