Marvel and Pixar are Not Enough, Disney Wants to Buy More Characters

Marvel and Pixar are Not Enough, Disney Wants to Buy More CharactersSubmit Comment
Disney already owns Pixar and Marvel, giving the company thousands of different characters to market and make movies for. But now comes word from Disney CEO Bob Iger that the company is interested in owning more characters.

He said that he plan to "buy either new characters or businesses that are capable of creating great characters and great stories." Pixar is a good example of a business that creates great characters, but what else is out there to buy?

Obviously Warner Bros will not give up their DC superheroes like Superman and Batman, or Looney Tunes characters like Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. Maybe Disney can acquire Nintendo's vast amount of characters.

Question: Which properties do you think Disney should acquire?

I think instead of trying to buy more characters I would like to see Disney work out a deal with Warner Bros. for a Marvel Vs. DC game and Justice League/Avengers movie...If that doesn't work, they should buy out congress and take over running the country at least they seem to know what the hell they are doing...

there's no point buying more characters, they already own so many (Marvel and Disney together own several hundreds of characters, maybe even a thousand). What they need is mainly 1) good scenarists who can write good stories, 2) good directors who can make good movies and 3) good actors who can act

Cantinflas? What about El Chavo? He already has a cartoon tv show!

Here's an idea. An alien armada of space gods challenges the entire planet to a single game of hockey to decide the fate of humanity...So Bob and Doug McKenzie decide to recruit the one group of men in the world that have any possibility of taking on the all-powerful space gods.

Jesus
The Twelve Apostles of Jesus.
...And Bill Murray.

And then in spite of Jesus wanting his team to play by the "rules" while the Space Gods continually cheat throughout the game, somehow as the buzzer counts off the two teams find themselves tied 22 to 22, when Bugs Bunny explains to Jesus that if he truly is the son of the most supreme being in the universe then he can literally can do anything...

...At which time Jesus c*ckily grins and a certain part of his anatomy stretches to a completely outrageous length and pushes the hockey puck deep into the Space Gods' goal.

And humanity wins the game with a final score of 23, to which Jim Carrey remarks "Egads!! I knew it."

The fireworks go off and the mass celebrations begin as drunken Mel Gibson staggers off by himself muttering in Aramaic "Forgive them father for they know not what they do..."

My apologies. I hope I didn't offend any Bill Murray or Bugs Bunny fans...

El Chavo will be a perfect property addition to Pixar..... As for Cantiflas, well he is just fine where he is.....

Perhaps they should focus more on their current characters rather than buy more. Its just going to end up ugly and stupid.

Now that Disney owns Pixar and Marvel, I think the audience expected awful animated sequel movies and making some superheroes nicer and quiet.

I think The Hulk will dance like a girl.

Superjail.

Ren&Stimpy.

C'mon, Disney, you have your own characters.

Dark revisions are all the rage these days.

Make Mickey Mouse movie where Mickey is a sociopatic private detective, Donald - an alcoholic Iraq vet, Goofy - a f*cked up drug lord. An Minnie is, as always, a whore.
Rated R for language, strong sexual content, drug use, scenes of strong brutal violence and torture.

Kids will love it!

Or they can just buy univision and telemundo
