First Look: Tom Hanks in "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close"Submit Comment
Today we have the first photo from "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close," starring Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, John Goodman, Viola Davis, James Gandolfini, Jeffrey Wright and Max von Sydow. Check it out below.

The film is based on Jonathan Safran Foer's novel and focuses on Oskar Schell, a nine-year-old boy who is on an urgent, secret search through the five boroughs of New York. His mission is to find the lock that fits a mysterious key belonging to his father, who died in the World Trade Center on 9/11.

"Extremely Loud" is directed by Stephen Daldry (The Reader, Billy Elliot) from a script by Eric Roth (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Forrest Gump). It is set to hit theaters on January 20th, 2012. It will no doubt get a limited LA release late this year to be eligible for the Oscars.

@trailertrash, couldn't agree more, he's been making some sh*t lately.

It's weird, his 80's/90's comedies were great especially the Burbs, one of my faourites, then he went to making more serious movies. philadelphia, saving private ryan, road to road to perdition, Green mile. All great movies and he is a great serious actor not just a comedian.

Now he's making movies with actresses whose careers are winding down and are only good for light hearted comedies or supporting roles.

His next movie will be with Jennifer Anderson and will be about a mad during a mid life crysis decides to live on the wild side, Sky diving, mountainerring and somehow finds a new spark in his life, a woman who is on a similar journey of self discovery.

God this is depressing that Hanks is doing this kind of sh*t. I say either stick to serious roles or return to your goofy 80's "BIG" self.

But stay the hell away from Romantic Comedies please. and Also stay away from julia roberts thwe most overrated actress in the world. So what she has a huge smile and a lot of teeth. Juila Roberts is like Hugh Grant, they just play themselves in every movie they are in.

Go Hanks and make better movies.

SO SAY WE ALL.

(Yes i'm a BSG fan,)

I hated this book. I don't think the movie will be much better, but we'll see...
