Update: "Two and Half Men" to Show Charlie Sheen's Funeral

Update: "Two and Half Men" to Show Charlie SheenSubmit Comment
"Two and a Half Men" returns to television on September 19th with Ashton Kutcher replacing Charlie Sheen. And now Deadline has some details about the premiere episode.

SPOILERS AHEAD:

Charlie Sheen's character Charlie Harper will already be dead when the show returns and his house will be put up for sale, despite that his brother (Jon Cryer) and nephew (Angus T. Jones) are still living there.

Similar to how "The Office" brought out the stars as potential replacements for Michael Scott (Steve Carell), "Two and a Half Men" will have many celebrities tour the Harper house with an intention to purchase it. One of those stars will be Kutcher, while many others will be actors from producer Chuck Lorre's other series.

By the end of the first episode, Kutcher will still not be the owner of the Harper residence. He will eventually move into the house in the second episode, which means that the premiere will be a two-parter.

The show will also feature Charlie's funeral, for which many of Charlie's girlfriends and past characters will return.

Update: It turns out that Kutcher will play an Internet billionaire named Walden Schmidt and won't be related to the Harpers.

Now CBS can use the two other suggested titles for the show: Two and a Half Puds ... or Cop Out.

They've got my interest for at least one episode to see how they handle this.

Huge ratings for the first show or two the a steep epic decline leading to the cancellation of the show before the season is over.

I know that I will be on my sofa crying during the funeral. This show was full of life and creativity. Over the year Charlie has evolved so much. I hope they can continue the magic.

It'll plummet. If I see his funeral the other seasons won't feel the same, so I'll pass.
