"Captain America" Post-Credits Scene is "The Avengers" TrailerSubmit Comment
"Captain America: The First Avenger" will hit theaters on Friday, July 22nd and while it will have a surprise for fans after the credits, it won't be just another scene. It will be a teaser trailer for "The Avengers."

SPOILERS AHEAD:

According to many people who have seen the film, the scene that Chris Evans and Samuel L. Jackson shot in Times Square is actually the last scene of the movie. Below is a description of it and "The Avengers" teaser.

Final Scene: Captain America wakes up on a bed in a white room and hears a 1941 Mets baseball game and a girl similar-looking to Peggy Carter. He asks her "Where am I?" Two guards walk into the room and Captain America pushes them through a wall. He then runs out of the room and out of the warehouse where he was held. Suddenly, he finds himself in Times Square. A squad of special forced surround him, including Nick Fury, who says "At ease soldier." Fury explains that he (Captain America) has been sleeping for 70 years and that they have been trying to adjust him to the new place.

"The Avengers" Teaser: Steve Rogers is in an empty gym hitting a punching bag, then he hits it so hard that he send it off its chain and through a wall. Nick Fury walks in and says "Getting ready for the enemy?" (not exact line). Rogers replies: "Well... It's been a while."

Then there are quick shots of Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, and Loki being escorted in handcuffs. After that, there is a long shot of Thor (in a new sleeveless outfit) in front of a SHIELD roundtable. Then it's shots of each character in action, including Iron Man in his Mark 7 armor, Captain America doing battle, Black Widow doing flips and throwing darts, Hawkeye shooting an arrow, Thor summoning lightning, and a shot of Bruce Banner taking off his glasses. There are no shots of The Hulk.

There is another scene when Tony Stark passes by Thor and pats him on his bicep, saying "That's quite the swinging arm you go going there."

Hopefully, in a few more days, they can finish up some quick shots of Hulk and add those clips in the teaser before it's released. Maybe they'll add it a few days after the theatrical release, online.

@Jaros428: That proves who have little idea how movie distribuition works. At the most, they would be able to edit Hulk shots into a teaser trailer and put it on the internet in 1-3 months.

@BlackDynamite

yes, but I remember correctly that they are using the same technology used in Avatar, which means that atleast a few CGI shots can be perfected enough to be able to be presented. the CGI in TIH teaser wasn't perfected until later. Just enough to give a general idea of how Hulk will look.

Anyways, I hope that a teaser poster will turn up around the same time too.

I can't believe those two get intimate.

And watching him bench-press that tank will be impressive.

And no way they'll kill off that Avenger!

Still... unspoiled...
