Noam Murro Confirmed to Direct "300" Sequel

Noam Murro Confirmed to Direct "300" SequelSubmit Comment
About two weeks ago, it was reported that Zack Snyder will not be directing the sequel to "300" and that directors Noam Murro (Smart People, Die Hard 5) and Jaume Collet-Serra (Unknown, Orpha, House of Wax) were in talks to replace him.

Now that Collet-Serra has signed on to direct "Akira" for Warner Bros, the studio hired Murro for "300: Battle of Artemisia," which is written by Snyder and Kurt Johnstadt (300) and based on a Frank Miller's graphic novel.

In the new movie, Xerxes (pictured) is a man in search of godhood after the death of his father, battling an Athenian warlord named Themistocles. The story takes place over the course of several years, but the focal point is the battle of Artemisium, which occurred in 480 BC.

Are my eyes deceiving me? They said this would take place years before 300 took place? WTF are they thinking? Can anybody enlighten me on this?

Die Hard 5 was decent, I thought, but it lost me with John McClane fighting his cyborg clone on the roof of the Domino's pizza building.

After the critical and commercial success of Die Hard 5 I have total faith in this helmer's ability to deliver proverbial celluloid gold.

Still can't believe they killed of McClane. Shia Leboeuf may win an Oscar though for playing his daughter.

^I don't know about that, shia could have been a bit more emotional in the part where hans groober cyborg f*cked him in the ass.

Die Hard 5 i knowww!!!! My favourite bit was where Bruce found out the significance of peas. I mean who'd have thought those small green vegetables would have such an impact on humanity and the direction of the next 6 die hard films.

I hear Justin Lin is in talks to helm Die Hard 6...bastard has a thing for 5's and 6's after F&F (5,6) and Terminator 5.

Ahh, Sarcasm. It's still gratifying on the Interwebs.

On topic, this sounds like sh*t covered in sh*t with sh*t filling served with a side of bullsh*t with horsesh*t to drink.

Is everybody here joking? Since when was Die Hard 5 ever released? I have not even seen that in theaters? Can anybody enlighten me on this?
ikleesdekrant writes:

It was released at the end of last year in 4D. It has a 101% fresh rating on rottentomatoes. They brought Stan Winston back from the dead to create cyborg Hans Gruber and even Jeremy Irons makes a small appearance. About half the movie is set in Hell, there's a bomb up Satan's *sshole. It's the best thing ever.
markoz writes:

You're kidding, right? Ask anyone, the best part of Die Hard 5 is when Mcclane gets resurrection powers and teams up with Gary Coleman in stopping Gruber's second-in-command Hans Landa
encoreyourface writes:

i dunno, i thought it was a bit much when the Hans Gruber cyborg's self-detonation code was "yippee ki-ay motherf*cker!"
DaveThePhotoGuy writes:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...you guys.

"Die Hard 5" was a great emotional peice, the emotional journey that all the characters went on was just speachless.

I believe it will win every Ocscar next year. And set a new recored of wins.
