Trailer: Sean Penn Hunts Nazis in "This Must Be the Place" ThrillerSubmit Comment
Today we have an international trailer for "This Must Be The Place," starring Sean Penn and Frances McDormand (Fargo), and Dean Stanton (The Green Mile). The film is supposed to be a thriller, but the trailer makes it seem more like a quirky comedy. Check it out below.

Plot: Cheyenne (Penn), a wealthy former rock star, now bored and jaded in his retirement embarks on a quest to find his father's persecutor, an ex-Nazi war criminal now hiding out in the US. Learning his father is close to death, he travels to New York in the hope of being reconciled with him during his final hours, only to arrive too late. Having been estranged for over 30 years, it is only now in death that he learns the true extent of his father's humiliation in Auschwitz at the hands of former SS Officer Aloise Muller - an event he is determined to avenge.

The new movie is written and directed by Italian helmer Paolo Sorrentino and has already premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. It has yet to get a US release date.

This looks more like a film for that guy who did the Arthur remake. The skeleton that's banging Katy Perry. What's his name. He has the hair and the drooping lips. Just hate to see an actor of Penn's calibre burn himself on what looks to be a terrible film.

Take out the road trip comedy feel, the make up, change it from rock star to famous actor, add more emphasis on the hunting nazis/avenging, and replace Sean Penn with Liam Neeson, and i'd pay good money to see it.

"20 years after an experimental surgery that gave him hands, a man vows to avenge the death of his father. He's picking up his scissors one more time, and he won't be cutting these Nazi's any slack. Edward Scissorhands 2: The Revengening"

Whoever mixed that trailer needs to be taken out in a back alley and shot.

Avenging his dad's humiliation after not speaking to the man for 30 years? Could he care less?

Poor trailer.... The only good thing is last lines in the trailer....

Kid: Can you play "This must be the Place" by Arcade Fire....

Sean Penn: "This must be the Place was play by the Talking Heads"

That and the title music, the only good thing of this trailer.....
