Thanks to Fandango, we now have a new poster for the upcoming "Conan the Barbarian" remake, starring Jason Momoa, Stephen Lang, Rose McGowan, Rachel Nichols, and Ron Perlman. Check it out below.

Plot: A quest that begins as a personal vendetta for the fierce Cimmerian warrior soon turns into an epic battle against hulking rivals, horrific monsters, and impossible odds, as Conan (Jason Momoa) realizes he is the only hope of saving the great nations of Hyboria from an encroaching reign of supernatural evil.

The new movie is directed by Marcus Nispel (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th) and is scheduled to hit theaters on August 19th.

I'm pretty sure I saw this poster already. It was featured in a quarterly magazine titled 'Photoshop Faux Pas'.

Im waiting for this movie to bomb

I'm waiting for Homoa to catch a really virulent form of AIDSbola and bleed out in the street, through various distended and shredded orifices, where be rightfully belongs.

Why the hate guys? Not being a smartass, being serious.

You weren't here, then, Electro Rock when news of this film first hit. Everyone f*cking hated the idea. They bitched and bitched, but then something miraculous occurred when a few images surfaced: people started saying they wanted to see the remake.

And then the trailer appeared and lo and behold, many of the those that had complained and verbally protested this film soon found that they really didn't give a sh*t about the original Arnie film at all. Not enough to avoid watching this sh*tty, Rock Hudson version of Mortal Kombat goofy remake, that is.

Hell, I didn't even come up with the Homoa name, that was, IIRC, Hideous Secretion's 'contribution'. But it was, still is, quite hilarious.

Ah. Thanks for bringin me up to speed man. Im interested in seeing it. If it stinks it stinks. Theres alwaysthe Arnie one. Or ones if you like the punishment of the second one.

Everything in This movie looks decent Except for homoa,he seems out of place and should be somewhere in Hawaii with his Samoan family or aprehended by Dog the bounty hunter.

This one I'll avoid in the theaters along with The Immortals and the upcoming turd sequel of Clash of the Titans.I am really doubting Neeson will be able to save That one.

Sam thing happened with the Total Recall reboot. Hatred than acceptance than adulation, just like what Arthur C. Clarke said:

“New ideas pass through three periods: 1) It can't be done. 2) It probably can be done, but it's not worth doing. 3) I knew it was a good idea all along!”

"Ah. Thanks for bringin me up to speed man. Im interested in seeing it. If it stinks it stinks. Theres alwaysthe Arnie one. Or ones if you like the punishment of the second one."

Haven't seen either. Probably never will. And I know I won't see this one. Way too much Clash of the Titans for me.

"I am really doubting Neeson will be able to save That one."

Don't recall how he saved the first one, though it was more 'fun' than it's quasi-immediate genre competitor Prince of Persia. And no Immortals for me either. I'd rather wait for Superman to see how Cavill ruins a film. Him and no-substance Snyder and lugubrious Christopher Nolan.

Doesn't matter how much you try to butch this f*cker up with this montage poster, it's still a f*cking gayass Conan-wannabe.

Samoa must have stock options in Maybelline, considering he's wearing more mascara than Cher slapping on Sherman Williams coats for 'Burlesque'.

f*ck. This will make Scorpion King look more like Rashomon compared to this f*cking turdfest.

New "Conan the Barbarian" Poster should've said "New 'Conan the Kardashian' Poster".

That way, it would have been more accurate.

Exactly.

Grace Jones DID look more Amazonian than Bridgette Nielsen back in the 80's, so I can see that ... but Kareem Abdul Jabar ? What the f*ck ? Did Robert Evan snort THAT f*ckING MUCH COKE back in the Seventies and go to a Laker game, thinking, " You know, Kareem ... he would be a pretty motherf*cking great ebony barbarian! "

So is Arnold ... so he can get the rights to do "King Conan" and earn enough money to start paying alimony.
minkowski writes:

Wasn't Homoa a season one Jersey Shore reject? I mean, a reject for a show for rejects. And then e gets his own movie. That's show business!
Electro Rock writes:

Grace Jones was my favorite thing about the second one. Plys close up decapitations in a pg film.
Avirex writes:

This might be a corny sh*tty flick but this poster is still better than all those horrible X-Men, Thor, etc. posters this year.
SeWerin writes:

Wow. Orange and blue to express contrast of the characters. Never seen that before except in EVERY BLOCKBUSTER POSTER EVER.

Not a fan of the poster and not convinced by the trailer. However, being a big fan of the first Conan the Barbarian directed by John Milius and starring Schwarzie, I do hope this one will be good

I dont care how bad ass they try to make this look. IT will be complete sh*te. They should of let it just be or if they had to make another in this over two decade old franchise, they should of atleast had arnold come back as the King and kick Momoa's ass...
