Jason Statham is Older Sam Witwicky in "Transformers 4"?

Jason Statham is Older Sam Witwicky in "Transformers 4"?Submit Comment
Michael Bay and Shia LaBeouf are not returning for any more "Transformers" installments, which is why it was recently reported that Paramount Pictures are considering Jason Statham as the lead in "Transformers 4," which may be a reboot of the franchise.

But producer Don Murphy says that "Transformers 4" won't be a reboot. Instead, it may be a the beginning of a new trilogy. "What happens next? Certainly not a reboot," he explained. "We haven't lost the Transformers. They didn't grow up or become expensive like Toby Maguire. I don't know what happens next. I'm pretty sure there will be a second trilogy."

If the plan is to continue the franchise, there is a good chance Statham may play an older Sam Witwicky, the character LaBeouf has been playing in the last three films.

Nice jump in reasoning there, WP. It literally says nothing about that in the quote.

that'll be gay as f*ck that he plays an older SHia but making a new story would be a good idea.
it can reinvent the franchise.

No Bay No Shia it cant get worse than them Can't it?

Statham plays the same character over and over but he kicks ass

maybe they can have the expendables cast in Transformers as well

Could work... the movie and season 3 of the animated series "spike" is older and his son hangs with the autobots
minkowski writes:

So Shia grew three feet and lost all the hair on both his head and palms?

Don't think so.
Loki writes:

So sam also gains a british accent as well??? Dumb. Might as well hand it off to Jesse eisenburg or how ever you spell that sh*t
yatedogg writes:

Sure Statham is great, but why would Whiticky then have a british accent
minkowski writes:

"the movie and season 3 of the animated series "spike" is older and his son hangs with the autobots"

Until his son loses the ability to walk and ends up as Arcee's (the pink Princess Leia robot neither Hot Rod nor Springer could ever thaw) f*cking head, while Spike becomes Fortress Maximus' headmaster.

Yeah, that's not going to f*ck the kid up for life.
trailertrash writes:

Cause he's double hard thats why ...........
minkowski writes:

Statham has, on occasion, supressed his accent for more American films.

Doubt he would sound like he did in Snatch...
trailertrash writes:
on July 7th, 2011 at 7:58:32 PM

You guys that side of the pond wouldn't understand him in Snatch mode he would need to be subtitled.
trailertrash writes:

Apparently :)
minkowski writes:
on July 7th, 2011 at 8:07:23 PM

Maybe. Some things though can be understood contextually, such as Joyce's Finnigan's Wake.

Anyway, I noticed that with Dark of the Moon, Cybertron was destroyed (again) and most of the Decepticons were obliterated, so, uh, how are they going to move forward with a fourth? What, Cybertron really isn't destroyed and Megatron somehow survives, even though he was decapitated? Whatever. Just leave it alone for Christ's sake.

that's the screenwriter's job to make up any story out of their ass to make another movie like those 4 other final destination movies and all of those 5 saw movies or 6 I lost count

Low blow talking about Tobey Maguire for Spiderman franchise, Low blow, Don Murphy!!!!! The man had to eat, pal!!!!!
minkowski writes:

I was thinking, when Optimus Prime died in the animated film, children and parents alike were shocked. There were reports of angry parents calling and writing Hasbro, telling tales of weeping kids.

With Bay's films, robots are destroyed, torn apart, murdered, and no one, not even the children in the audience, could care less.

There's no emotional connection. No attachment to the characters, it's all just a very loud and bright pyrotechnics display. No humanity, no depth. Just a visual venture into entertainment hedonism.

I hope like hell the don't make any more.

i think shia and bay should rethink,no im not a big fun of shia i just dont have a problem with the guy, since 2 out of 3 movies they did turned out ok they should return.this statham idea is the worst idea ever, not to mention that if you have statham in the movie you dont need autobots or army because jason is going to kill the decepticons himsel, thats how he prefers it
Damon242 writes:

Jamall316 writes:

SquirrelFlyer writes:

the only thing i could see in more movies is the "approximate 200" decepticons that came through the portal and spread the pillars around the planet. Even then there's no leader or someone to make them even want to kill the human race...like mink said just leave it alone

Jason Statham playing Sam Witwicky in Transformers 3?

WTF, Imagine Statham screaming like a girl when he gets attacked by a Deception just like Shia LeBeouf has been doing in the last three films.

DirtyMartini writes:

Simple. He gets the accent from moving back to England with his new squeeze Rose Huntington Whitley after part 3 ends. Cast Helena Christensen as the older version of her. Case closed lets start shooting.

just drop the Sam storyline and make Statham the king sh*t badass of NEST. He can be Lennox's mentor or some stupid sh*t. The only decent human characters this series has produced are played by f*ckin Josh Duhamel and Tyrese. That may be the most Ironic thing ever said.
