Tom Hanks Says "Toy Story 4" is Being Developed

Tom Hanks Says "Toy Story 4" is Being DevelopedSubmit Comment
We've been hearing that Pixar is not interested in developing another "Toy Story" installment. Instead, the studio will use the characters in other ways, like several short films that it has been working on. But it's hard to ignore a franchise in which the last installment cracked the $1 billion mark and was nominated for the Best Picture Oscar.

Now in an interview with BBC, Tom Hanks has revealed that "Toy Story 4" is actually already in the works. When asked if fans can expect another film, the actor replied: "I think there will be. Yeah, yeah. I think they're working on it now."

Hanks didn't reveal whether he would return to voice Woody, but has previously expressed interest in continuing the franchise. Stay tuned.

Dammit. The third one ended perfectly. Don't make a 4th one.

I'm pretty sure he'll take the offer because his upcoming movie with Julia Roberts will be a hit like the Davinci Code.

The script for Toy Story 4 is complete...Just use the story from the 1st change Andy's name and just cut out the part where Buzz doesn't know his a Toy...But this time the plastic Soldiers kill everyone...

Jesus, I remember when they said they were done with TS after the first film, and now they're talking about a fourth.

Disney has really turned them inside out.

Oh and this time around we get to watch Jessie become a dirty slut and she has a three way with Woddy and Buzz..Just an idea...

I miss Disney drawing movies. Nothing they have done in list 10 years could touch the likes of Lion King, Beauty and the Beast and such. But it's cheaper to hit a few keys and pump out 3-4 movies a year with big name voices.
minkowski writes:

I can assure you, animating 3D films is NOT 'hitting a few keys'. It's a bitch. In fact, it's harder and often requires more people and work than 2D.

And you must have missed Princess and the Frog.

I wander if they've completely abandoned their motto of no sequel without a compelling story?

Money is more compelling, apparently.
mustardayonnaise writes:

this is sad. like i said in another thread, this might suck even more if they decide to farm this out to their vancouver studios. these guys are too big to manage properly and they're taking on too many projects. they need to SLOW THEIR f*ckIN ROLL
mustardayonnaise writes:

oh and struck21 you obviously don't know a goddamned thing about animation if you think 3D animated movies are cheaper than hand drawn.

Don't do it, Pixar.

True. Something I hoped would never happen.

They should never have made Toy Story 3 apart from the ending it just felt too similar to Toy Story 2. There was a few funny moments with spanish Buzz and Barbie and Ken but they should of just done a few short films to continue the characters stories.

There are over a Billion reasons why Disney and Pixar will carry on the Toy Story franchise a little longer ...
Bunny X writes:

Pretty hard to argue against $1 Billion dollars. Also pretty hard to live up to it too. It'll make money, nowhere near part 3. Hanks will be hard pressed to say yes to the assumed part 5 but who would say no to a guaranteed check?
minkowski writes:
