New "Terminator 5" Story Details Emerge

New "Terminator 5" Story Details EmergeSubmit Comment
Arnold Schwarzenegger recently revealed that he has put all his film projects on hold until he figures out the mess he got himself into after having a child with the maid. But this isn't stopping Megan Ellison from pushing forward with a new "Terminator" movie, since she just won a bidding war to acquire the franchise.

"Fast Five" director Justin Lin is already on board, and he is going from studios to studio pitching his vision for "Terminator 5." Apparently, Universal Pictures is very interest, but a deal has yet to be made.

What's Playing website has learned that the new story will have a big part for Schwarzenegger, who has already attached himself to the project. It will have a twist on the original timeline, and will have a new, younger male lead. The site claims that Paul Walker's name keeps coming up during discussions.

Walker may end up playing Kyle Reese. And while we previously heard that the original cast will be returning, it's starting to look like the original characters are returning, but will have different actors playing them. Stay tuned.

Situation Normal, All f*cked Up.

That's all I can manage to say. Terrible, terrible f*cking news.

Walker as Kyle Reese? I can already predict the "Michael Biehn>>>>>Paul Walker" posts on here a year from now when the trailer for this is released.

I don't think Arnold can do this film. Terminators don't wear diapers.

Great Justin Lin as the director

Since it looks like Paul Walker will be in this, we can probably expect him to do some outlandish unreal stunts that otherwise would be the end of someone.

Just like we saw in the Fast 5 when they jumped from an 800 ft bridge and survived, yeah right LIN.

Paul Walker in Part 5 ? Isn't that like putting the corpse of Verne Troyer in it ? I mean, we'd get the same screen presence from either Paul Walker trying to not have to resort to his nasally, mugging character from the Fast and the Fublicious series or from the rotting, rigor mortis'd corpse of Verne Troyer.

Oh, and far as Governator Flabbytits, I don't see how much more embarrassing it could get then to stick his rapidly steroid decaying body into it, just to watch him disentagrate into a parody of himself. I mean, at least when Stallone was packing on the pounds for Copland, he was doing it on PURPOSE. Arnold just let time and the pounds of steroid juice pound his body to look like a overly stuffed cross between a Macy Day's parade balloon and Peter Falk's body if it got stung by a stingray and swelled. And God knows his dialect wouldn't be able to help him through a f*cking action movie without subtitles.

Hey Paul,

if you think you're Rob Lowe and that the young p*ssy will follow you to every f*cking movie you do, you're wrong. DEAD wrong.

At least Rob Lowe oozes charisma onscreen. All you ooze is a stench that would make Che, Triggax and Jake want to lick the sweat off of your taint, buddy.

Paul Walker = proof that Ryan Phillipe was one lucky son of a bitch.

Is Edward Furlong just to messed up and weird looking to come back? To me having some of the original cast not just arnold, would add the believability that the movie still exist in the terminator universe. I have felt no connection with the original movies with all the new ones, each one just seems like a different robot movie. And please NO women terminators

Reboot, start again with a prequel type robot war then have the basis for Term1 as prt2...cast who you want then...just keep it hardcore and ask for Camerons input. Executive producer or something.

It will end up being Walker as Reese and Vin Diesel as the terminator.

"It will end up being Walker as Reese and Vin Diesel as the terminator."

very likely IMO.
HideousSecretion writes:

Same characters and same timeline but different actors playing them. So a REMAKE of the first Terminator?
Kill-the-director writes:

"a twist on the timeline" this cant be good. just look at what a mess sarah connor chronicles made of the timeline
JakeVermont writes:
on June 5th, 2011 at 4:46:06 AM

you should go on where T:S ended and introduce the development of the T1000 and the time travel stuff. and make the war more brutal. We havent really been seeing war yet.

"It will have a twist on the original timeline"

what the f*ck is wrong with the original time line? the f*ckin machines tried to change the past already dont do that!!

if you do that then f*ck you Justin Lin! you will end up with a worse movie than McG did.
