"Black Snake Moan" Director to Helm "Tarzan" Trilogy

"Black Snake Moan" Director to Helm "Tarzan" TrilogySubmit Comment
Warner Bros has signed Craig Brewer (Black Snake Moan, Hustle and Flow) to write and direct the studio's new "Tarzan" movie. He has been asked to come up with a story that will span over the course the course of three films.

At the same time, Warners has also hired Adam Cozad to write the script for a different version of "Tarzan" that has "Tron Legacy" director Joseph Kosinski attached to helm.

After both projects have scripts and are ready to advance to the next stage, the studio will have to step in and choose which live-action "Tarzan" film it actually wants to make. Many believe that Brewer's version will win out solely because he's available as soon as he wrap the "Footloose" remake.

That picture looks like Saturday night at Mink's house.

another attempt for a Tarzan movie it already happened in the 90s with Casper Van Dien and it failed miserably and there went his career down the sh*tter.

Black Snake moan was a good independent movie and the performances were great from all actors even Justin Timberlake who played a little bitch in it.

Hustle and flow had good performances as well

Why do this at all? "Homo of the Jungle" already beat you guys to it.

Homo of the Jungle = Brendan Fraser f.y.i

A film that can never be. Especially since if you were to base it off the book you have about a hundred things against you. Let me name a few:
1. Tarzan is naked for like half the book, he doesn't put on the cloth until like towards the end.
2. Tarzan gets pretty messed up through out the book, his chest gets gashed half his scalp is torn off...
3. Tarzan doesn't even speak english til the second book. First language he learns (other then the ape's language which is number 4) is french because the guy he saves is a french colonial and he teaches him the language of the gentleman as its called.
4. As with number 3, he speaks ape practically the whole time and we all have seen what Christopher Lambert did with Greystoke lame.
5. Tarzan is beyond buff, but he is dexterist as all hell! Thats the issue with the other ones Disney was the only one that kinda got it right with how he moves sadly a crappy kids cartoon but yes he is very buff like Arnold buff from conan but can do crazy moves thats because he was raised by apes.
So you see this will be a load of failure.

Agreed! They might considering this new tarzan movie as a reboot of George of the Jungle.

@Necronullus -You have officially placed more thought and research into this trilogy than all the studios and writers combined.

How about a "Tarzan" and "Planet of the Apes" crossover?

"That picture looks like Saturday night at Mink's house."

I would expect you to imagine me naked and swinging on a pole, as per your fantasy life. But then, I wear Scooby Doo underoos, so I'm not really your type.

And now thanks to Necronullus I now know more about Tarzan than I ever imagined I would.

As for the films, look, we've had several and none were a smash save that Disney sh*t, so how about seeing if one actually works before you start dreaming up a f*cking trilogy, ok?

And....a Footloose remake, huh? Sigh.

*Don't* wear Scooby Doo underoos, I should have said, but then what I wear under my clothes is my f*cking business, ok? Besides, I like old Scoobs. And Daphne. Always had a crush on her. Velma got hot in the movies too, but I think you'd have to chip the ice off her twat before going in.

Is it bad to actually read a book. LOL

What's a book?

TRILOGY?

Hollywood is truly finished now. I knew all the nonsense about movie budgets and box office totals was BS for publicity. The latest stunt is announcing second seasons of TV shows and planning movie trilogies before the first film has ever come out!

Remember RocknRolla?
