Uncle Ben's Original Killer Returns in "The Amazing Spider-Man"?

Posted: June 2nd, 2011 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Uncle BenSubmit Comment
Back when Sam Raimi was set to direct the fourth "Spider-Man" installment, it was revealed that Michael Papajohn was set to reprise his role, after appearing as carjacker/Uncle Ben's killer in both "Spider-Man" and "Spider-Man 3."

Eventually, Raimi dropped out and Sony decided to reboot the franchise. But just yesterday, Papajohn updated his Twitter account, stating: "Just RSVP for 'The Amazing Spider-Man' wrap party at The Roosevelt Hotel. Should be a good one."

This is a bit surprising, since this would make him the only actor to return from the original cast. CBM decided to reach out to him and find out if he'll actually be in "The Amazing Spider-Man." Papajohn replied: "I cant even confirm or deny if I worked on the film!"

Apart from he wasn't Uncle Bens killer. Spiderman 3 actually revealed this...doh.

That would be such a pointless casting choice why would they bring any one back when they're rebooting it unless they're some how tying it into raimi's versions?

i cant believe we got to sit through this scene again, just like the superman origin scene for the third time in the next film,hollywood must think were all brain dead rehashing the same old sh*t over and over,there's tons of great stuff in graphic novels waiting to be seen, there a bunch of over paid talentless knob heads. give us old man logan, superman red son,and marvel zombies movies if you have the balls!!

@Cinemaisdead
Actually there was an article where the producer or someone said it DID tie into Raimi's versions, which of course is why I hate this "reboot" because if that is true it's not a reboot at all, just, as I said, Sony being a bunch of babies because they don't have faith in the disaster they created. And to think, they'd rather have mooched off Raimi's story than just give him creative control and let him make them A LOT of money.

Looks like someone signed an NDA, which means he's somehow in the film. Whatever. They should have just returned with Spiderman 4 and made a good film for change instead of rebooting this sh*t into a vehicle for that big-haired homo Garfield.

And the title is correct, people. sh*t. Notice how it says 'original' in the title, referring to the fact that in Spiderman 1, he WAS Ben's killer, until they later made a mess with even that simple plot element in Spiderman 3, so Alex is actually correct for a change.
