First Look: Bruce Willis with a Machine Gun in "Looper"Submit Comment
At the Cannes Film Festival, footage from Rian Johnson's "Looper" sci-fi film was just shown. And while most of us didn't get a chance to see it, Empire magazine unveiled the first photo from the movie, featuring a look at Bruce Willis firing a machine gun. Check out the photo below.

The movie revolves around Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), a sharp, savvy hitman who kills victims sent back in time from 30 years in the future to make all traces of the crime disappear. Everything works out as planned, until one day a body arrives and Joe recognizes that it's his future self (Willis).

Johnson previously directed "Brick" and "The Brothers Bloom." His new movie has yet to acquire domestic distribution or set a release date.

Apocolyptic is that a down cover album from Phil Anselmo from Pantera and Superjoint Ritual?

I'm very excited for this. I love Rian Johnson and his films. Humble man who knows his sh*t.

And yes, this film is going to be good. JGL is badass and I feel Bruce is going to actually give a good performance in years, in this. He said it's similar to Twelve Monkeys.

That's an assault rifle Alex, a machine gun is stationary.

Not all machine guns are stationary, so if you're going to correct Alex, at least take the initiative to fact-check your statemant beforehand.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Machine_gun

Assault rifles are a subcategory of machine guns.

So, do yourself a flavor: read the entire article.

As for the film, looks like a random shot from Red. So you'll pardon me if I decide to wait for a trailer to get excited over the sci-fi elements rather than just another bland and nearly ubiquitous shot of Bruce Willis firing a machine gun.

I think it would sound good if I understood the plot correctly, but every time I try, my head hurts.
Osiris3eagle writes:

How would reading the entire article have made a difference Mink? It has nothing to do with the type of gun Willis is holding. I know you pride yourself on being one of the more articulate and intelligent posters on here, but that comment didn't do you any favors.
Regardless, referring to any gun that has a fully automated firing rate as a machine gun is ignorant and too much of a generalization.

This story sounds interesting I'd like to see it.
