Stan Lee Won't Have Cameo in "X-Men: First Class"

Posted: May 13th, 2011 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Stan Lee WonSubmit Comment
Stan Lee is very proud of his cameos in Marvel movies and directors have fun including him in the most creative ways. He was in "Thor," "The Incredible Hulk," "Iron Man," all three "Spider-Man" movies and plenty of others. But don't expect to see the legendary comic book creator in "X-Men: First Class," because he wasn't asked to appear in the film.

"Incredible as it may seemeth, NO CAMEO doth appear of thy beloved Generalissimo in 'X-Men 1st Class!' I pause whilst thy shock sinketh in," he wrote on his Twitter account.

Lee had a cameo in the first "X-Men" movie, but not the sequel. I guess Bryan Singer felt the result was better without Lee, which means no cameo in "First Class."

Yes, because Lee is such a pwerhouse of an actor, he took away all the limelight form everyone else.

Bah.. They could have made his cameo like in Thor, Fast and satisfying.

Who cares? If this ruins a movie for you... 'Nuff Said.

studio need to pay it if they want stan lee

and no selling point there with or without stan lee

you can't raise the box office from stan lee cameo

BadChad I agree

I was actually going to spend the extra $5 to see him in 3D

Way to go Singer you just lost $5 sir

Screw you if you believe Stan Lee doesn't belong. He is the mastermind of MARVEL and he wrote most of the xmen comics too, so this is most definitely his pride and joy just as much as spiderman. He better get a cameo in Captian America and The Amazing Spiderman!!

this is a lie

stan lee refused to cameo b/c he knows how bad the film will suck

I just think out of respect for Stan... put him in. His appearance in the first Iron Man was 3 seconds. No biggie.
NunYoBusiness writes:

From the previews I have seen the film isn't worth the money nor Stan's appearance in it. The film looks like a miss-match of era's from the comics. It looks like the Marvel movies of old anyone for another Punisher movie (man that Dolph Lundgren dude sure could act)or how about another Dr. Strange (1978). Not for me thanks

Stan doesn't care one way or another. He's probably already forgotten there's an X-Men film by now.

At least he got a cameo in Thor and Captain America: The First Avneger.

Its not really for you Singer...Lee is a legend and if he didnt exist half of your movies dont either...this is to pay respect for such a brilliant man..Plus they are always quick and funny (my favorite is when he was larry king in iron man2) this is just downright rude...

PS...I love how he writes on his twitter haha
minkowski writes:

Brilliant? The guy named two characters after an ant and a wasp...
Champ1432 writes:

I don't think it's a big deal to have him in the movies. Most if the time, his parts are a few seconds, and he has one or two lines. It was actually kind of neat to spot him and see how they stuck him in. Not that him not being in the movie will ruin it of course, but he's responsible for all of this, I don't think it's asking to much to give him a 10 seconds in each movie.

There's certainly a lot of other parts that could be cut out first in some of them.......

I don't buy it. Stan Lee probably saw the Havok trailer and asked for his cameo to be dropped.
minkowski writes:

I did mention that he named two characters after an ant and a wasp, right?
encoreyourface writes:

that is a disappointment but hey, he doesn't have to appear in EVERYTHING Marvel ... as much as i'd like him to.
technoreaper writes:

Marvel needs to get their Spiderman and X-Men franchises back. Go to court or something, please. Can you imagine a Marvel Spider-Man movie?

DROOL!!!
Doomzdae writes:
on May 14th, 2011 at 12:59:02 PM

STAN IS THE MAN!!!
not having him in the movie is just not right. him being dead is the only legitimate reason
for him not to be in an marvel movie.
Frostyballoon writes:
on May 15th, 2011 at 12:44:02 PM

@Mink
Yea he may have named two characters after an ant and a wasp and a spider...but marvel is what it is today because of this man...
ItsGoinDowns writes:

I hope he plays antman or wasp, in fact, he should have played magneto in this
Syman404 writes:

The studio that owns the rights to X-men has never included Stan Lee in their X-men movies, so this is... common sense? I'm surprised I read the story o,0
