Ethan Hawke Joins "Total Recall" RemakeSubmit Comment
Ethan Hawke has joined the cast of "Total Recall," Columbia Pictures' remake of the 1990 Arnold Schwarzenegger film that has Colin Farrell starring.

The new story ditches the Martian storyline and instead involves nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai, with Douglas Quaid (Farrell) a factory worker in the latter who begins to believe he is a spy, although he doesn't know for which side.

The movie has been casting to make its June start in Toronto with Bryan Cranston playing the villain. Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel are in negotiations for the female leads. Hawke's role is being kept secret.

Well now, here's some good news for all those that seem bound to reflexively hate the idea of a Total Recall reboot, you know, the same people that'll be first in line to see it: Ethan Hawke that guy from that movie I saw like ten years ago with that chick who carries around the blood of her brother's bleeding ass or something, you know the film, the one where Hawke plays the bad guy or something and he stabs blood girl in her fake prego hump? I think it was called Snakes on a Plane or something.

Anyway, Ethan Hawke people, great, great news.

Yeah i like Hawke as well , Just watched Before the Devil Knows Your Dead he was pretty good in that and in Training Day also.

Good piece of news and lets hope Biel and Beckinsale sign on too.

Not long ago everyone was bagging this movie.. I'm keen to see Farrell in a role like this, I just hope Len Wiseman doesn't f*ck this like he f*cked Die Hard 4.

@Dirt

How did Wiseman f*ck up 'Die Hard 4'? That was one hell of an enjoyable flick.

Hawke is Kuato!

Wiseman is the only weak link in this film now, mainly because Die Hard 4 was sh*t, especially the jet scene. But then you've got to take into consideration what Kevin Smith said recently about Bruce Willis being a prick to work with so it could've been him.

I think this might actually turn out alright depending on Farrell's performance.

According to Latino Review they said that Hawke will have a cameo so don't get all your hopes up cause Farrell is still the main actor.

He sure has come along way since reality bites.After training day he's been often typecasted as a cop in Assault on 13th precint and Brooklyns finest which is his best performance to date along with Don Cheadle.A well acted movie with an appereance from Wesley Snipes.Daybreakers was also a good movie as well.but it came around the time of Twilight so it didn't do too good
