Danny Boyle to Direct "Trance" Thriller in SeptemberSubmit Comment
Director Danny Boyle (127 Hours, Slumdog Millionaire, 28 Days Later) has been busy with his "Frankenstein" stage play and the opening ceremony for the 2012 Olympics. He previously mentioned that he won't be able to direct another film until after 2012, but has now changed his mind.

Deadline has learned that Boyle's next film will be "Trance" thriller that he will shoot in London this September. The movie is described as an art heist gone wrong, and similar to Boyle's "Shallow Grave" and "Trainspotting." The film will once again cost between $13 and $19 million.

Despite the fact that Boyle will begin filming in September, he'll have to wrap before January to fully focus on the Olympics. The plan is for the director to the film on hold until he's done with the Olympics in August of 2012, at which time he'll edit it and get it ready for a March 2013 release.

Real film maker right there still wants to do what he loves, not for the money just because he's an effing gangster!

Do I care?

NO!

While this sounds intruiging, I'm really wanting to see a '28 Months later'. Hopefully he'll direct it within the decade.

Slumbdog aside (sh*t film IMO) Boyle is top dog and this will be good i have no doubts.

And he's getting great grounding working with the Olympic Committee and the Government, they know all about robbing people thats for sure...

Mash- That will happen, he really wants to make that movie.

Trailor I am right there with you... Slumbdog is one of my least favorites from him... but Sunshine, 28 Days later are great. I will watch anything he does

If it's more akin to Trainspotting and Shallow Grave, i'm all good. And i too, felt Slumdog was over hyped. Decent movie, but nothing more.
