Bokeem Woodbine in Talks for "Total Recall" RemakeSubmit Comment
Bokeem Woodbine (Devil) is in talks to join Colin Farrell in Sony's upcoming "Total Recall" remake, which is directed by Len Wiseman (Underworld) and is set to hit theaters on August 3rd, 2012.

The remake involves nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai, with Douglas Quaid (Farrell) a factory worker in New Shanghai who begins to believe he is a spy, although he doesn't know for which side. Bryan Cranston is playing Vilos Cohaagen, the leader of Euromerica who, under the cover of protecting his people, is secretly readying an invasion of New Shanghai.

Woodbine would play Quaid's best friend who has a big brother relationship with him. Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale have been offered the female leads.

I bet he's the one who's going to get screwed.

That's f*cked up and insulting to Arnold.Farrel is also gonna be called Quaid

I'm surprised people know who Bokeem is,there hasn't been hope for this actor and makes some pretty sh*tty movies. He's ok but this won't make the movie great

I hope all the Arnie fans revolt and convince people not to watch this movie so it can bomb and Colin Farrell could transition to animal snuff porn.

Len Wiseman you're a f*cking c*nt just like Daniel Radcliff and you deserve death for raping a scifi classic by Paul Verhoeven

Bandolero, I fully agree with you. I'm sick of Hollywood churning out remakes of great movies. Most of the remakes suck huge balls, in fact I'm trying to think of one that bettered the original. I got nothing. You'd think that with all the money floating around tinseltown, they'd be able to find somebody with at least one f*cking original idea.

Apparently though, talented writers don't exist anymore, so studios have taken to butt f*cking classic movies. Total Recall DOES NOT need a remake. Fantastic Voyage DOES NOT need a f*cking remake. Clash of The Titans DIDN'T need a remake. Although, they should probably have another go at that one. They could hardly do worse than that festering pile of donkey sh*t with Sam Worthington in it. Then again...

FML, lets burn Hollywood down once and for all!!!

Actually there are some talented writers but they are too underground for people to know and they are mostly broke and have to write garbage for them to get publicity. These days Hollywood doesn't care about talent they care about what sells even if its sh*t which has being coming out the last few years.

If a movie has made back it budget or has increased it by 10% they will make sequels to keep making more money.
Just look at that travesty of fast five 86 million and anyone could of pulled that plot out of their ass.

There's no originality not because the writers suck, but because studios commission them to write what the studio wants. And the studios want remakes, sequels, and other non-original sh*t. The writers' talent is unfortunately taken out of the equation by the studio, as are any original ideas.

That said, this remake doesn't bother me. If it sucks, it's not like people are going to be watching it over the original. It's not like it takes anything away from the original.

But I do know Bokeem is a sh*tty actor. So, that's a downer that he's still working.

He's better than fifty cent and Ice Cube but his career is deep in the sh*tter.

Well this is gonna be nooooothing like the original but I do like woodbine so it'll be nice to see him in a bigger role

What sort of name is that,Yankees have some crazy names.
rabid writes:

This obviously is not a straight remake. Just imagine that it takes place in the same world as the first film. It's not as if Quaid was the only customer of Rekall.
